Just wanted to share a picture of the fat knob growing on one of my cakes. Dose that look normal to any of you guys? It doesn't really look like any of the other mushroom that have fruited yet.

i disagree. cubensis, when not of albino variety, will often have light/dark tan streaks on the stype. on the cap, there are often white specs on a brownish/orangey backdrop starting off which disappear over time. It's a cube.

It's a just a pin not a cap. The reason I posted this thread was because this particular one is twice the size of the biggest one from the cakes that fruited before it.

it should recover nicely with fresh air. only reason I can give advice is because I've made the mistake lol. now ya know

my ex use to like my fat knob from different angles 2 hows your subs moisture?(do they feel heavy?) just ask casue the look dry

the pin has an underdeveloped cap, but this is semantics. those two are going to get HUGE. i would love to know how fat that thing weighs when it's done growing

It's not light. It was light and bruising about 2 weeks ago, so I re-dunked it before the first flush. It just barley started pinning about 4 or 5 days ago

BTW... Here's a pic of what the first two cakes that fruited.


and this is what they gave me.

That fatty on the most recent cake is twice as big as any of the one's i've scene so far.
