blindingleaf said: whippy...what u mean by "dumping off agar wedges in rapid fire" and "to add extra grain to any project"? just curious u mean if u had, like storm rider, an x tra jar or two in fridge from previous project to just add it to next project, like an ms grow, to increase spawn/sub ratio?
in other words, say u had 2 qts of grain spawn that were isolates, and u added them to a mono with 4 more qts of MS grain spawn...would this be more beneficial than a pure MS grow, or end up being just the same?
Basically Im getting rid of that cloned genetics as fast as I can, and won't be restocking.
I am dealing with a set of genetics that came from a monster fruit. What I meant earlier is that I will be getting rid of the cloned genetics by simply inoculating grain, and moving forward. I won't be keeping this particular culture any longer. I did 10 grain jars the other day with it, and it will most likely be the last.
By adding extra grain, I mean that I generally will use 1 quart of grain in my mini-mono and 5 in a 66qt tub....I will be increasing the amount of spawn basically to get rid of it, but not "waste" it. My mini monos will be up to 2 qts, and my 66 qt tubs will be up to 7 qt.
To give you an idea. A slightly isolated PE genetics are almost done colonizing jars, while this clone of mine (non-pe) has barely got to the point of first shake.

I think it might end up being a decent culture. I'm probably still going to put it on the back burner for a while. It took a long time to colonize and fruit plus I got a lot of other cultures I want to play with.
I got some lc syringes just the other day from this really cool chick I met that lives a couple towns over. She gave me a gt, a b+, and a Pf classic lc. I've heard the Pf classic doesn't like growing on grains and bulk. I'm going to test it anyway
I've also got a wild Aussie culture and a wild Texas culture I'm working on. Oh and I just put some maz spores on agar. It's too cold to ride motorcycles so I figured I'd need some stuff to keep me busy over the next couple months
