You NEVER increase dose with this thing trying to chase a tolerance. My dose is 5 grams and has been for years. If I want to really doze out I'll go higher but 5 has been and will be my go-to.

I gotta cap some more up. I cant take the powder straight.
Which strain should I cap:
Red vein sumatra, red vein riau, green riau, green malay, thai powder, or white vein sumatra.? (Almost out of red vein borneo so thats not an option. )

Yeah You are right! I need to really stop taking so much.
I am going to start taking 3 tsp morning and 3 tsp afternoon, and no more than that.

I need to take a few weeks off then start using only 3 days a week.
ime it loses its magic REALLY fast. like two days in a row TOPS.
good luck getting your doses down. hopefully you won't withdraw, I hear it can be as bad as heroin w.d

kava is way better than alcohol. No shitty hangovers for me atleast. Kava rocks too but the amount you have to take to feel it kind of defeats the purpose. I'd choose kava over alcohol any day. It just seems more.. healthy. It doesn't have to be derived and brewed, just make the root into a milk shake are it's good to go!

Kratom is the shit. Only thing is it is also addictive. Not nearly as bad as anything else but you will notice w.d after stopping. they lasted me about 3 days. I also blew through a kilo of premium maeng da. ! I just don't like being addicted to anything. It would suck knowing that I had to wake up and take my daily dose before doing anything.
Then again it did have many positives, I wasn't drinking as much as mentioned in this thread and I did get a lot of shit done.. It's hard to tell which side is better. Although I do agree kratom is by far superior to alcohol. Alcohol is just legal liquid benzo.

In everything I've read I've never heard it stated kratom withdrawal is anywhere near as bad as heroin or other opiates. I do agree with you though that two days in a row tops is a good rule. I've been taking it regularly since the end of last year and in the past month have been pushing multiple days in a row to see how the tolerance works. I have very limited opioid experience so I didn't have much tolerance to start.
In the past few weeks it's been five days on, one off, four days on, one off, that sort of thing. My last dose on Saturday was 8 grams, mostly maeng da and a little green malay, and that had very mild effects. Not good. This week I took my first 72 hour break in weeks. I T&W'd a little over 6 grams of bali mixed with green malay about 40 minutes ago and am starting to feel pretty nice.
The main problem with regular kratom use so far in my experience is not anything to do with physical dependence or side effects but simply that after I get off work I'd prefer to take it then not, so there's an aspect of psychological addiction. I want to temper my use out to twice a week ideally, maybe three times.
I've experimented with small doses of DXM to reset tolerance, as it's supposed to work to some extent with opioids. You're just supposed to take a typical therapeutic dose, i.e. 15mg. The interesting thing I found is that even very small doses of DXM bring out the dissociative side of kratom. I don't know if this is the NMDA antagonism of both substances or what but one night I took 30mg DXM 20 minutes before 7 or 8 grams of kratom and it felt more like I had taken about 150mg of DXM. The DXM also seems to exchange some of the warmer euphoric shades of kratom with a more robotic feel but that could have just been that I was already in diminshed euphoria territory due to multiple days in a row.
Magnesium is also supposed to help keep tolerance down and I've been taking a good chelated form daily anyway as it's the only thing a recent blood panel showed I was deficient in and it just seems to be a good supportive supplement from everything I've read.

Haha, it quotes Moonshoe. He's famous! Well done.
