Drinking * 1
    #19326793 - 12/25/13 08:29 PM (10 years, 1 month ago)

If there's one thing I absolutely hate, it's drinking. The smell of alcohol is so fucking abhorable, repugnant, and gross to me. The taste is tenfold worse. It's nothing but poison- hell it's an antiseptic and it's flammable.

I'll do smack, I'll pop a molly, I'll eat 10 tabs of acid, and I will snort blow until my cartilage breaks down, but I will never touch alcohol for a while. Even when I'm at a party where it's expected that I drink, I turn down booze 90% of the time.

I don't even enjoy the effects much, the alcohol buzz is so fucking one dimensional. If I over drink I puke, get dizzy, and feel like absolute shit.

Do alcoholics just drink to forget? I just don't understand why someone would indulge in such a disgusting and unhealthy habit when there's Kratom and ganja available.

Some people call alcohol a social lubricant and say that it makes it easier to talk to people. It doesn't make it easier, you just stop giving a shit about your problems and insecurities. If you want to really start up a deep, personal conversation with somebody, the Kratom buzz or the MDMA high is far better suited.

I just hate when alcoholics lose their inhibition and they start acting like a bunch of children, screaming and throwing shit. It's pathetic.

Why do you drink?

I think alcohol is mostly a shitty drug. The only real appeal for me anymore is that it tends to put people more at ease in social situations where they can connect and bond more easily. Other than that, I find no use for it really. Too many negative side effects for me.

As for alcohol "just making you forget about your problems and insecurites".. because MDMA doesn't!?

And you do blow, but not drink, huh? Seems legit :smirk:
BTW, if there's anything to absolutely avoid, it's coke  it's the most known cardiotoxic drug.

I can't even drink anymore, and when I do it's not that enjoyable.

I have liver problems, so whenever I drink It's just not worth the buzz. I used to love having a couple of beer, and trying different flavours and imports. Now I'll have a few, or a few beer, or a few shots or mixed drinks and I start getting all sweaty, bloated, pains in the ride side of my abdomen. It's just not worth it.

And being Christmas time doesn't help either. Ti's the season to have a few drinks. I tried having a few last night and I just felt horrible. I need a few to get a buzz but at that point I start getting everything I listed above.

I've never really done a new years resolution, but this year I think I'll make one about eating clean and staying away from liquid poision. haha. I really need to for my health anyway.

I can relate to you somewhat OP. I find it kinda unfortunate that the one socially acceptable psychoactive substance(not counting things like nicotine or caffeine) is ethanol. I can't stomach alcohol very well so getting to the point of being plastered is difficult and pretty damn uncomfortable for me. And if I do get fucked up on booze I always hate myself for it afterwards when I recall the stupid shit I did/said while intoxicated. I agree it's a one dimensional substance.

I also hate the hypocrisy of a lot people out there who think getting drunk every weekend is morally justifiable but then put a negative stigma on illegal drugs that yield a meaningful and deep experience.

However, I do love and appreciate high craft alcoholic beverages like a quality beer, whiskey or wine.

Define "meaningful and deep experience".

Some of the most memorable experiences I've ever had involved alcohol. What might be right for you, may not be right for some. You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both, and there you have the facts of life.

People enjoy different drugs for different reasons.

Used to be fun for a time. The more drugs ive tried, the more shit alc seemed in comparison. Plus the more sensitive i've become in terms of perception and awareness in general, alc started to always leave me with a sense of missing a sense and being cut off from the universe each time i drank even a very small amount. I quit 6 years ago.

I drink because I don't have better drugs to do at the time.  I feel just about the same way OP... I think alcohol is mostly gross, and more than any other drug it's made for absolutely terrible next-days.  But at the time, well get a few drinks in you first but THEN, it's not so bad if you're doing it right.

I'd rather do so many other things, but that's not always so easy, and that's when if it feels so necessary we all have the choice to drink some booze.  I basically hate it but I drink it anyway.

Alcohol is a means of extracting psycoac4ives qnd physioactves.. it is not to actually be ingested alone..

alcohol kind of makes on dumber.. acid makes one smarter, and in the end, it depends on what you want to accomplish..

I guess it depends.  There's conflicting evidence on this one.  I'm not a scientist and I haven't paid close enough attention but obviously MDMA will burn out your serotonin (if misused) and serotonin is extremely important to vital functioning... alcohol will burn out your GABA if misused which is also important but simply as a suppressant to your CNS, maybe not so simply, it's not like that's really less important, I'd argue that MDMA is worse if used as frequently as alcohol, but alcohol is much easier to misuse, so overall that makes alcohol worse?

It's not as simple as "one is worse than the other" IMO.  We all die.  So I guess it's what you want to get out of life.

I would agree that both drugs can equally cause ones destruction. The different imo is
MDMA is usually cut, which can do who knows what to the brain. Theres hundreds of RCs and some have documented damaging effects while others are simply unknown.

from my experience with both pure, tested MDMA and garbage cut to shit ecstasy pills, Pure MDMA does not have severe side effects if taken occasionally. This is only if it's very rarely. Ive taken pure and tested MDMA 2 years after abstaining completely and it was almost like the first roll, indescribable feelings of happiness joy and love, and my favorite, complete removal of inhibitions. But after I was feeling forgetful, somewhat depressed and slow.
