I don't ever want to move out
    #19325578 - 12/25/13 01:23 PM (10 years, 1 month ago)

Honestly man, my parents are the CHILLEST people ever. I fucking love them. And Christmas makes me appreciate their beautiful souls even more.

They're fairly old (late 50s) and their age just makes them so mellow and sympathetic. They also own a BEAUTIFUL, spacious property downtown that's completely renovated and filled with so much extra space that we don't even use. Hell, there's at least three fully utilizable bedrooms that we simply keep for random guests.

My parents fucking spoil me with gifts I don't even deserve. I just got a fucking Xbox One out of the blue, a beautiful new Lenovo Laptop, and 8 PS3 games I'll probably never touch. We have a cleaning lady who comes by every three days and does all the chores so I don't have to. And they're amazing at planning road trips, mannn its sooo much fun. They've even taken me to Europe a few times, they're perfect. Mexico was really awesome too, tequila and sun ahhhh such bliss.

Even though I'm a full-time student and will be finishing up my undergraduate studies in 2 years, I see ABSOLUTELY no reason to leave home. If I ever decide to start a family,  I can do it in my very own home because there's so much fucking space!

I have so much freedom at home. I have a little "music station" set up in my basement with a brand new bass where me and my friend jam out for hours. My parents have never once complained about the noise and it gets loud af. I can light joints, smoke shisha, and trip out on acid down there and they don't give a rat's ass. I can be out until 2am snorting blow and getting drunk and when I come home, my mother comes down, gives me a hug, and asks me if I would like her to heat up a meal for me.

Are anyone's parents this amazing? Does anyone plan to never, ever move out like me?

I LOVE YOU MOMMY AND DADDY.

That sounds pretty damn amazing. I wish my parents were that accepting. Although I kinda understand why they're not, they work, go to sleep early, they want quiet, its their place, I respect it ya know. I've got my own apartment near my school so its chill.

I guess if they really don't bother you in any way, there is no point in leaving, your a lucky man:thumbup: Good to hear from someone who's thankful for this kinda stuff, a lot kids I know take their comfortable homes for granted

I know right? Shit I didn't even get anything from my parents for my birthday. Not that I really wanted anything, it just would have been a nice gesture seeing how I always go out of my way to get them a little something something.

My mother & step-dad are fucking awesome as well!!!! My step-dad is pretty wealthy so I always get what I want. They even let my best friend live with us. And buy both of us shit now.

I'm the youngest girl in the family, so I've been treated like a princess most of my life... which is cool, but now that I'm getting older, I want to be treated more like a young lady & adult.

Yeah gifts, money, & all that is nice, but at this stage in my life I want more respect & independence. My Mother is cool, but also VERY protective.

That's why I am in college & have a job now, I'm trying to be responsible & stop depending on my parents so much.

If you don't move out at least you'll be there to take care of them when they're old and senile and shitting in their wheelchairs

Is your mom normally up at 2am or is she just always on standby waiting to come give you a hug and some presents?

Yeah I was thinking this too. I definitely want to provide my parents with as much emotional support as possible when they reach old age. One of my acid trips showed me how scary and strange life becomes when you're on the verge of dying and it really stuck with me.

I know extremely loving parents who are lonely, depressed, and stuffed into nursing homes because their kids find it inconvenient to take care of them.

My parents are asleep at 2am btw, my mom only comes down if the sound of me coming home wakes her up.

What do you mean you can't read beyond the first sentence? Is my writing style really that bad?:mad2:

I know right.
My parents aren't bad people it's just life has been hard on them and it's hard to really 'be a family'.
The house is a depressing place and I cant wait till I finish college so I can have my own space to live.

I know a guy just like you. Then a parent got sick so they sold the house as dad couldn't get up the stairs anymore and moved into assisted living. My friend had never learned how to pay a bill, had no former landlords as references and all the money he thought he would get for selling house when parents died went into their care.
Did you ask your parents if they want you there? What their plans are? Eventually when you grow up it will stop being all about you. If you said you were living there to save for you own house, like all the Chinese or Italians do do, i would be impressed. Instead you mention how cool they are with your cocaine. Not impressed, at least with you. Your parents sound great though.

OP I can relate a ton but you can't always rely on them. If they do everything for you you'll be helpless when it's time to move on with your life. I'm sure you have no idea how to even write a check do you?
