Hey guys! I'm searching a non psychedelic shroom that looks similar to the Psilocybe Cubensis Golden Teacher. Do you know one? It doesn't has to be a edible schroom, just one without any psychedelic substances.

The main determining factor that makes any Psilocybe cubesnis look one way or the other are environment. The pictures you see, or have experienced, of 'GT's, were just Psilocybe cubensis grown in that specific environment. Excluding albino, and PE, I can change the way any P.cubensis look, even to look more like 'traditional GT' just by augmenting some environmental parameters. If you want really wide caps, that are more flat and scaly, than you want very high FAE and sufficient (natural) light. If you want tall and skinny, deprive fresh air, lower light. If you want extremely large gills(lammalae), which may even sag beyond the pileus margin, try growing outside. The list is never ending. Even with an isolated genetic strain you can dramatically change the way it looks, just by employing environmental/cultural augmentations. You can literally fill out a websites mushroom 'strain' photo section, using a single true (genetic)strain-- and all the pics can look different, if you know what you're doing, that is. Fungi can adapt culturally.

Agrocybe aegerita (black popplar), of the ones that can be easily cultivated indoors. People confuse Armillaria mellea for P. cubensis for some reason as well. Several Stropharia species are closely related to P. cubensis and look very similar. I can't thhink of an exact species right now.

Great tasting and really adaptable mushrooms! These were picked 1st of December this year, I saved a couple of prints with lovely cold hardy genes!
