Ask and Ye Shall Receive

In my life, this is one philosophy I truly believe in. It has paid off so many times, it's not even funny. I ALWAYS ask for something, but only if I think it's within the realm of possibility. Still, my imagination in this regard is high.
For example, yesterday I asked for a doubling of an $18 item, you have to ask nicely and make it easy for the person tossing in the item. Sure enough, today it was there. No charge.
How many of you just don't bother, or feel bad about asking?

There is an old, and very true saying, that says "life is an echo, what you send out will come back, what you sow, you will reap, what you give, you get and what you see in others, exists in you." its so true, and I try and live with this always in the front of my mind. Always give kindness, make good decisions that will make a good impact later in life, and try and see everyone as a amazing, wonderful perfectly imperfect person it will make life a rewarding endeavor. Its hard sometimes but worth it in the end.

Yes thanks friend for expanding on the material aspect to more of a golden rule kind of thing.

I don't either. Your point? Oh you thought I meant ask telepathically, and the check shows up from Ed McMahon?

Totally agree. Ask for what you want. You have nothing to lose. And don't be embarrassed when you get it.

I asked to get tied up by Angelina Jolie and sexually teased till I came buckets, but sadly enough I'm still waiting. O Mr. Philosopher, what am I doing wrong?

Not asking if I'd give her up for a night.

Mr Decypher , it is quite obvious you are asking for things outside the realm of possibility that Looney mentions.
Why not ask anyway , the worst thing you lose in most situations is your pride which ill admit can sting a little when rejected or sometimes cause you full blown mental problems depending on the situation. For the most part i tend to agree , ask you might not receive but if you keep asking you will eventually receive, *insert old ass fishing analogy about casting in lines* I think 'within reason' or in 'the realm of possibility' is kind of like choosing the fishing spot.
If you go cast a line into a puddle excepting to catch fish your just a retard the same way some prayers and aspects of hope or faith are.

Nice
I find that if i ask for something that i'm destined to receive, the 'asking' is already the process of receiving happening

My wife recently used "the secret" and applied belief and visualization and affirmation and landed an unbrlievae new job many levels higher than what someone her age could reasonably expect . She basically just jumped directly to a top level government job, skipping about five steps directly to the top. Everyone is astounded ! Now she believes in the secret.

Nice. She obviously asked the right people/person, and they agreed. Few would dare to skip all those steps in "the process".
