It looks like a cactus of the prickly variety.
Since it's unnamed, I dub it the "Prickletoris Cactopulus"
PS: I very much doubt it contains any psychoactive properties.

Actually I have found some data s. coryne contains trade amounts of mecaline but not so much it's worth of ingesting.
Basically useless for consumption purposes, very nice looking species tho
Just take fake flower off and remove the hot glue from skin of cactus. There will be left a scar but just take off the artificial flowers what should not be glued on cactus plant.
I have seen big amounts of cactus plants aroud with fake flowers glued to cactus..

It's very disappointing to walk into a big box garden center and see rows and rows of otherwise healthy looking cacti with those glued on plastic monstrosities. A classic example of trying to fix something that isn't broken.

I'm old enough to remember when they didn't glue those charming little flowers and pinned them instead. If you weren't fast enough, the pins would rust and the plant would rot. Back in the days when there was no internet to instantly-mail-order any plant you could possibly think of I used to search garden centres and flower shops for interesting species amidst the hordes of Mammillaria elongata or young Echinocactus grusonii (to name just two of the more common) and more than once had to take home a cactus that would be scarred for a considerable length of time.
Fortunately, these days the horror industry has evolved and you can be amused further with colourful Mammillaria "Arizona Snow Cap" or glittering Echeveria...

One reason is very simple.. Common person buy common cactus just like any other.. Person doesn't care much of it, add it to windowsill and if cactus dies, then it dies.. If not, then it just grow some and growth appearance suffer from glue.
Anyway, it's just because sell probably increase by making the plants more "pretty"
I buy'd one opuntia few months ago.. It was basically punctured with long stick and flower attached to it.. I removed them and got plant survive over it.
This fall I have seen lots of cactus around the world with same looking fake flowers.

You're absolutely correct iLife. Those cacti are marketed to old ladies and people who take them home and sit them on a windowsill not really caring for them as much as an avid grower would. It's a cheap gimmick but apparently it's successful at selling otherwise they would no longer have those on the shelves.

well thanks everybody for the replays and tips.
yeah I removed the flowers on the last mammillaria I got from there and it rotted from the spot where I ripped the flower of. this time Ima take a sterile razor and slice off the glued area so Mabye it won't rot this time.
I hate these glued flowers.

One thing I have seen is different species of cacti. Some people doesn't understand about slow grower high price compared to size of cacti. They mostly think all same size cacti are same price.
Anyway just cross my mind about that because I try sell few old ariocarpus at one gardening forum what is basically only for my language, nobody doesn't really get why they are priced so high and I could not able to sell those species. Also lophs are hard to sell, some people fear of obtaining lophophora and so on, even it's not listed to any list as illegal plant. One reason is basically high price. I think I need to sell some ariocarpus sp around somewhere where people understand the price of them.. But if I would have lost of space I probably would not want to sell them forwards.
It's "good" and "bad" cacti are used to attract potential buyer with artificial flower, vendors got money and people got something they like and probably doesn't care even much and most cacti like these will die to lack of water or simply because noone treat them they got bugs and die trough that way..
I have seen these plants with glued flower doesn't have any purpose to live long.. I have still buy'd few and just removed the flower away.
