Paranoia

Ugh. We are our own worst enemies.
I'm kinda looking for some reassurance to help squish my doubt.
Sunday, I went out on a hunt witha few buddies. We found some oysters, Lions mane, pluteus, and a few other odds and ins.
On the way home, I decided to stop by one of my honey holes. I've found many edibles in this area.
The first log I checked was one thati had previously found Flammulina velutipes. There was a fresh flush.
This is the link whereo had them first ID'd. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/19235498/page/1
I never tried them, or cloned them from my first find.
Yesterday, I made a mushroom pesto fettuccine. I use the Flammulina, Lions mane, and oysters.
So, about 3 or 4 hours after eating the dish, I begin to get a bit paranoid. I couldn't stop thinking that Flammulina and Galerina look so similar. I am still 98% sure that I have the right ID for those mushrooms, but that 2%of doubt is the heaviest 2% I've ever felt.
I haven't had any symptoms. no nausea, no vomiting, no extreme bowel movements. I was a little gassy, but that could be because onions make me gassy and I added them to the mix.
Based on the link above, am I just worrying myself for no reason? There was no annulus and the gills were white.
Is there a chance that if one did consume amatoxin, there would be no symptoms until you are dead?
Thanks folks. merry christmas

Oh man, you SCARED me for a second.
I'm always careful when it comes to edibles. I some times don't answer even when I do have the correct answer simply because it stresses me a bit to encourage someone to eat something I can't hold in my hand.
I'm glad you have this fear though....it will keep you and others safer. Happy Hunting!

Thanks for checking in
I trusted your Id, there was no doubt there. I guess the doubt came because I didn't get the second flush ID'd like I did with the first.
I have a very Special relationship with fungus. A healthy balance of love, respect, and fear.
I feel a bit silly for even posting this, but I'm glad I did.
The whole morning, I spent researching amatoxin poisoning.
I feel completely fine, but I also feel fine when I consume Psilocybin or muscimol. I've never felt nausea from mushrooms, so I didn't know if i could possibly have the same situation with amatoxin.
The lesson learned is that I should have everything ID'd before consuming, even ifi think i know what I am eating.
Sorry for the scare, RD.

I'm glad you're doing ok!
I've just located some velvet shank for the first time this year - and i've been a bit doubting...galerina (sp?) scares me so much!
I'm going to post my specimens when i pick them tomorrow to get confirmed...before eating. Have always wanted to try the 'winter edible' :-)
The majority of pics i see of velvet tuft have stipes that are cream graduating to dark brown. The ones in my area are pretty much dark brown all over the stipe, and lovely velvety feeling :-)
I've never consumed anything that i've then doubted...must be a horrible feeling. I've thrown out boletes edulus before thinking it was the 'bitter lookalike boletes' that the rubbish ID book i had at the time led me to believe!
