I've got some ATL#7 Jars that about 75% to 80% colonized and 2 and a half to 3 months old and I can't see any sclerotia forming in any or the jars and most of the myc is a bright snowy white with just a few spots of a tan light brown. I've seen a lot of truffle jars on here and the myc seems to be a yellowish brown in almost all the pics I've seen so I was wandering if this is normal for ATL7 or is this abnormal? Please let me know what's going on and if there is anyone that has some good experience with this species please post here and I might have a couple more questions for you in the future if you don't mind.

You will probably have better luck posting a pic of it, if you can.

Yea I've seen some of his pics and on one of his teks he has 2 jars that are labeled "less than 30 days" and they look more like normal truffle jars than what I have at 2 1/2 to 3 months old with what seems to be no sclerotia. If I had a way to post pics I would and probably will in the future. I'm just worried something went wrong and to note I used MS which I know would take a bit longer but I can't find any pics that match up with what I'm experiencing.

I used tampanensis, ATL #7, and mex. For my first ever attempt. Jars are progressing well. I used rye berries and wheat berries. The wheat berries I lost one jar to contamination and a rye berry jar never recovered from shaking. I also did brf cakes which I birthed and broke up and cased in small containers on Christmas. Tried to post a pic of my tampanensis pins but could not figure it out. Lol

So your fruiting your sclerotia species? How do your jars look, what is the color of the myc? is their any sclerotia forming what is the age of your spawn from first sign of growth? And was your growth really slow?

Hey cronicr is there any stonesun grow in particular that might have other pics than his sclerotia tek that could help me see if there is a problem with my grow?

According to the grow logs here you should be 100% colonized by now if by 2.5-3 months you mean from the time you first saw mycelium. Has growth stalled or slowed down from when it first began? You might need some trouble shooting so how about some info: what kind of jar/lid, what kind of grain, how did you prep the grain, what temp and humidity are you in? Pics wouldn't hurt. Also how did you inoculate (spore/agar/lc/g2g) and when did you inoculate. How many jars are you talking about?

Most likely there is a problem with your grow. If you don't see sclerotia forming after some months of colonization, there has to be a problem. I could post you many pictures to compare, but I always have visible stones even way before full colonization. You should post a picture though, we might be able to tell you what's (not) going on.

could possibly be a contam that's stalled growth. I've been having trouble with contams and i'm working on a solution. I want to try some sclerotia but definitely not till I've figured out this problem. I'll usually have some signs of growth then it will just stop around 40% or so and then the contam will show itself. I think pictures would help a great deal in this situation to figure out this problem you're having
