Will oysters fruit through a t filter like they do through b filters?

not in my experience, no, i would not rely on it. some will find a way through, but most just form a knob under the patch. you'd be a lot better off poking holes or cutting x's.

I love fruiting lion's mane through the patch, makes harvesting so easy and I don't misjudge and cut into the substrate.

God yea. I have harvested some of our biggest loins manes thru them. Actually can be annoying to walk into the spawn room and see it is now a grow room as far as lions mane is concerned.

I have to put tape over ours now because we haven't been getting to them in time. He isn't kidding with how badly they will fruit out of it. That stuff is a fresh air fiend.

Lions mane, oyster, King oyster, reishi, and turkey tail have all fruiting out of the T filters for me(with enough time.)

Yes, not ideal; I don't like it with lions mane either. Put your lions mane blocks in at 7 or 8 days incubation, they will not invitro pin or go through filters.

Just curious, why? I mean as long as you don't make it grow all the way up to the filter, if you fold down the bag so the filter is right by the substrate instead of / or in addition to cutting holes for fruit, what's bad about the filter?
Always value your input

IME I always get green mold on the little remnants of fruit bodies stuck in the weaves of the patch. But if your able to get 1-1.25lb on the first flush and up to 2lbs total with subsequent flushes growing through the filter, than do it. I have only been able to achieve these results with fruiting through the X's and incubating for short times.
