It's been a long time since I grew salvia and I was not successful with it ultimately, but if I'm remembering right it sometimes drops and regrows leaves in response to drastic humidity change. I can't see the sense in removing leaves that are not dead though, isn't that just reducing its food production capacity?

that was my thought process as well, but i have heard of trimming leaves so the energy it uses is for new leaves and not old, dieing leaves. i have it in a humidity tent i made. its perked up from yesterday since i watered it. in another day or so im going to water it again. i cant see salvia being too hard to grow really, plants dont seem to hard but i could be wrong. just when i thought mushies were difficult, i realize they are very easy ahahaha

A friend of mine grows Salvia in his garden, it has taken over. It does react very badly to environmental changes. Keeping it humid is nice but if you move it the leaves will drop and regrow again, slowly. When winter hits he harvests all the leaves and in sprint it grows back with the vengeance.

You will need to keep it until it turns around. Moving it again to a non humid environment will cause it to get shocked again, so be careful.

im gonna keep her in the humidity chamber for a good while, my house is fairly dry now.(i can feel my nose drying out) hopefully once shes rooted and has a few leaves shell be more stable and can survive outside of it. it gets fairly humid around here in the spring/summer

Salvia D.
Friends garden, this is only a small portion of it. Like i said this stuff is like a weed and unkept it will overgrow the garden. It dies back in winter and comes back in spring with the vengeance, but this winter it kept growing.
