adding quinoa flour to BRF cakes?

I have read that quinoa has is really nutritious especially when comparing protein levels of it with other grains. I already have quinoa available and I wanted to make cakes with it while using BRF and verm as well. The only thing I cant decide is what ratio of BRF to quinoa flour I should use. I was even thinking of replacing BRF entirely with quinoa flour just to test it out but I want your opinions first.

I'd just stick with brf and verm. It's tried and true and it's plenty nutritious. Almost too nutritious

no not really, we already have to give our cakes at least a week of consolidating because of it nutrition, focus more on fruiting conditions and you will be gold

I was in the same boat as you a week ago. I just decided to do 90% of my jars using the classic methods, and 2 extra jars for experimentation. I would recommend this strategy, use most of your materials on techniques you know will work, and save a little bit over for playing with. Oh and label everything...

I doubt it'd be an improvement but you make a cake with any kind of flour though some will work better than others.

If there were a flour that worked better than brf in cakes I imagine that is what everyone would be using

Quinoa Flour cakes (Failure) [Re: Kizzle]

After this thread I made two small jars, one with the usual BRF and the other one with the same amount of flour except it was Quinoa. They colonized close to the same rate but after putting them in the fruiting chamber I got tons of pins on the quinoa cake but interestingly all of them aborted(I thought if it was to fail it would yield less and not abort) while the BRF cake has 4 big mushrooms growing atm.
