True art has no monetary value. With that being said, you don't know what real art is so what about your opinion makes you think it's valid? There are a lot of people that would disagree with you. I'll give you a little hint for the future before you go to a real man's party and get whooped. Your opinion is nothing more. Don't act like you know something you couldn't possibly.

Oh, my misinterpretation.. I thought you were referring to opiates. I render aspirin and ibuprofen obsolete in this day and age.
Well percocet and vicodin both have acetaminophen in them which will thin the blood. I dont think one or two would cause enough blood thinning to be a problem, but i'm no expert.

from what i was reading, acetominophen and ibuprofen are both weak in regards to blood thinning strength

Most artists will advise against taking drugs during a tattoo session. My longest session was 8 hours straight from a artist with a pretty heavy hand I could have gone longer. I just say sit back and enjoy your time it's actually really fun:)

Yeah dude! My first was about the same length. It hurt like fuck but that's part of the deal! It was a test of my own willpower and I made it through without a problem.
To me, pain getting a tattoo is just as integral as a bad trip is to the psychedelic experience. No one wants it in the back of their mind, but in the end we are all better for it, and we know it.

I always liked these...
My tattoos are one color 'jail house' style tats I did my self.(2 were actually done in )
Some drugs were involved, but mainly alcohol encouraged my decision to do a tat. Some times meth was involved, too. First one I did was a cross with my name underneath on left bicep( I'm right handed). All the 'cool' kids did it. I think I was 16? Laundry ink and a sharpened short hat pin w/ thread wrapped around the pointy end.
This is interesting...What's in your ink?

Manufacturers are not required to reveal their ingredients or conduct trials... Heavy metals used for colors include mercury (red); lead (yellow, green, white); cadmium (red, orange, yellow); nickel (black); zinc (yellow, white); chromium (green); cobalt (blue); aluminium (green, violet); titanium (white); copper (blue, green); iron (brown, red, black); and barium (white). Metal oxides used include ferrocyanide and ferricyanide (yellow, red, green, blue). Organic chemicals used include azo-chemicals (orange, brown, yellow, green, violet) and naptha-derived chemicals (red). Carbon (soot or ash) is also used for black. Other compounds used as pigments include antimony, arsenic, beryllium, calcium, lithium, selenium, and sulphur.
Tattoo ink manufacturers typically blend the heavy metal pigments and/or use lightening agents (such as lead or titanium) to reduce production costs
I love me some heavy metals...
Then there's this...Glow in the dark ink and blacklight ink Wonder what these guys were thinking? (Caution! Contains )...

Booze. Get good and drunk. Being drunk puts you in a good mood with no apprehension. Drunk combined with the adrenaline boost gives a nice mellow high you won't feel anything at all. Alcohol helps the fluid and blood clean out from the tattoo site. Plus no risk of infection or complications, if your blood alcohol content is high enough.
this is very important, if you use booze you can't stop until the tattoo is done. Use mid proof liquor. Not 40 proof whiskey not 200 proof ever clear. A shot every half hour should be good

I'm sure your tattoo artist will appreciate you coming in and collapsing in his/her chair fucked up on drugs or booze. Bleeding more than usual because you've thinned your blood with liquor or booze.

Only poser artists care about the no drug no booze. A real shop just wants your business and wants to put some wicked art to you, without all this straight edge pussy rules.
like I said blood and fluids will clean out faster, and less chance of infection. Provided there's enough alcohol.

Damn you guys....he's been talking about inflammation issues not pain. Any good tattoo artist isn't going to tattoo you if you go in wasted anyway.

I'd personally wanna be sober for any tatts. Also although I like tatts I don't like tha idea of anything permanent on my body.

To answer the OP's question: Opiates or benzos.
Obviously one or the other; if you combine the two then you'll be noticeably fucked up and most artists will refuse to work on you.
If you get prescription opiates, then do a cold water extraction to avoid the APAP. I wouldn't take any NSAIDs till after the session; but there are better ways to control the inflammation.

Tattoos feel hella good when they are getting done, your body will flush you with natural endorphins. You will get a fat ass rush.
I've never had one done someplace really sensitive though, so that could possibly hurt.
