Music
I totally forgot. I used to sleep to music all the time. I'll give your tunes a shot when I go to bed. If that doesn't work maybe Pink Floyd will do the trick.

The thing that helps me the most with my insomnia is reishi mushroom extract. I have also ordered some kratom to see if it works for me. The interesting thing about the reishi is I take it in the morning and noon(I don't work overnights) and it gives me lots of energy and focus, and helps me sleep when I finally get to bed. It can get pricey, but make sure you read your reviews before purchasing because the capsules can be filled with non-active substances such as flour.

i do it everynight, otherwise i have a hell of a time turning my mind off. it hasn't failed me yet... at least if i have one of those night where i just lay coffin style in meditation, at least i have something to listen to to keep my mind busy; and if it works right, i end up listening myself to sleep.

had my first hallucination from sleep deprivation this morning while going to work and it lasted at least 4 hours. maybe I'm beign paranoid but I could tell that people notice something was wrong with me, I recognised the look on their face. I wish they'd ask what was up so I could explain myself but nope, they're happy with their bullshit assumption about me. my patience is down to -5 and coincidently the last 24hrs gave me TONS of reason to lose my shit. soon it'll be christmas and all I can think of is to kill someone.
as soon as NYE is over I'm trying to see a doctor and hopefully he put me on something strong because nothing work anymore, not even 25mg of etizolam.
guys, don't let it get this far.

You might consider seeing a specialist that can identify the cause of the problem rather than using medication to cover it. Of course, if there is no way to identify it(such as myself), I would try more natural remedies rather than addicting drugs. My doctor gave me ambien for a little while, and when I discontinued it's use due to a dependency on it, my insomnia became much worse.
I found 5-htp to be pretty helpful as well and you can get it over the counter. Like anything, do your research or talk to a doctor before trying it in case you have an unknown issue that will interact poorly with it.

I noticed that the effects of 5-htp are kind of random on a day-to-day basis. I usually would take them after school/work because sometimes it would knock me out, sometimes it would make me feel a little stoned, sometimes it did nothing at all. It helps stimulate the body's production of serotonin. From what I understand though, too much serotonin can have a negative impact on the body.

May I suggest....MARIJUANA??? If you can't smoke due to drug tests, then you need to get a prescription for SEROQUEL. Just a very low dose, like 25 or 50mg. That shit will make you SLEEEEEP GOOOOOOOOD!!! It's pretty much impossible to stay awake on that shit. As soon as it kicks in, you NEED to lay down. It literally makes you want to sleep. I don't suggest taking it to get high, it doesn't get you high, it just makes you want to sleep.
Oh, and don't fuck around with melatonin or anything made naturally in your brain. You're really just supposed to take those no more than 2 weeks and it's not a permanent solution. And it's not the exact same melatonin that's made in your brain, they get it from plants. Besides, melatonin works to NORMALIZE your sleep patterns, and your sleep patterns are everything BUT normal. So melatonin will do you no good, it may even make you depressed because it will confuse your brain into thinking that you need to go to sleep at a certain time every day, and that's just not possible. Melatonin is also responsible for normalizing moods, which you really don't want to fuck with.
When you say "BP" do you mean "bipolar"?? If you're bipolar, you NEED to do SOMETHING to get some god damn sleep. Not getting enough sleep is a SUREFIRE way to become psychotic. Believe me, I'm bipolar type 2. Not enough sleep is no bueno. I can't even function, I'd might as well call in sick if I didn't get enough sleep.
I take seroquel and I also smoke weed.
Oh yah, and over the counter sleep aids are just antihistamines and your tolerance SKYROCKETS VERY FAST with those drugs. Don't take an over the counter sleep aid more than 2 or 3 days in a row and only take it 2-3 times a week. With that being said, your tolerance goes up higher if you take it daily, which counter-effects the fact that it makes you sleep. I used to take generic over the counter form of doxylamine succinate (I hated diphenhydramine due to the sleeping pill hangover it would give me) but I ended up having to take more and more until finally it just stopped doing anything whatsoever after a few years. And I mean I would take like 4, 5, or 6 pills (the recommended dose is 1 pill) and NOTHING would happen and I'd spend a night sleepless.
Seroquel is my godsend for getting me to sleep.
Hope you figure out a solution soon...sending positive vibes your way..

Oh yah, you may want to consider sleeping with headphones on to DELTA brainwave music. Use headphones to get the effect in your brain and do NOT use any other brainwave other than delta for sleep. There is alpha, beta, gamma, theta, delta, epsilon, and lambda brainwaves... use delta for sleep. Trust me, you will feel refreshed when you wake up because it literally forces your brain to have the same waves as it does during heavy deep REM sleep.
Just go to itunes or amazon mp3 and type something like, "delta brainwave" or "delta entrainment" or "delta bineural" without the quotation marks of course. Or just search for "brainwave" and you should find a lot of stuff with delta waves. Kelly Howell is good, Steve Halpern is good, Dr Jeffrey Thompson is good, just to name a few of the really good brainwave music creators.
Just buy whatever you find to be soothing, relaxing, and something that won't annoy you or anything like that.

Thanks for the reply, I already smoke weed dude. It definitely does not help with the sleep. I meant blood pressure with BP, I could feel it. I'll definitely give the delta waves a shot.
I got like maybe 2-3 hours last night. Yay
I want to leave something like seroquel as a last resort. I feel a little sketchy about pharmaceuticals.
Thanks for your concern bro
