Research Tabs and Long-Term Seizures! Help!

..This is my first time posting on this forum, and i do not know if im posting in the right spot.. But anyway lol..
A few months ago my friend had taken 2 very potent research tabs. I have no idea how they were made or what kind they were, i just know they were fake because it would numb your whole mouth and tasted very bitter. I had also taken 2 with him, and a few other people.. Well a few hours into my friends trip, which was obviously way too overwhelming for him, he had a very violent seizure which lasted about 2minutes. At that point the RC was kicking in the hardest and i was about to have a mental break down.. Lucky we had a few sober people with us and rushed him to a friends house and let him shower and relax...
Now i have been informed, ever since that day, if my friend's neck/spine is touched in a sensitive or ticklish way, he will start to seize. - Now i told him to get himself checked out but he said there is no way in hell he will go see a doctor.. Does anyone know if RC tabs are giving long term seizures? is there a cure? is it life threatening? please someone get back to me, Thanks!

He obviously should see a doctor as you say. If they are true seizures then benzodiazepines may help to stop them.

Your friend took an NBOMe, probably 25i-NBOMe. Because it is an RC, no one knows what long term side effects it might have. It is at least possible that it caused this condition in your friend, because again no one knows what kind of long term side effects it may have.
In terms of "is it life threatening," seizures can be life threatening in and of themselves. Doctors can prescribe anti-seizure medications to attempt to control the seizures, but there is no cure. There is only anti-seizure medication that can help control the seizures.

The most common bitter blotters going around right now are 25x-nBOME but, unfortunately, it's hard to say what your friend got. There have been a number of deaths from 25x recently, so if your friend has begun having seizures since taking these blotters he should seek medical attention. I will say that I took (an admittedly absurd dose of) 25i-nBOME almost a month ago and had a horrible, horrible experience in which I felt certain that I was at death's door, and if I even linger on thoughts about the way I felt during that experience, I begin to feel sensations that I felt at that time. nBOMEs are highly potent serotonin 2A agonists. This neural subtype is largely clustered in the hippocampus, which is responsible for episodic memory.
My theory is that when your brain begins to receive stimuli that trigger sequential activation of some portion of one of the neural pathways that formed during the heavily-agonised 5HT2a brain state, the brain is increasingly likely to trigger activation in the remainder of that pathway, depending on the strength of the singal (this would generally be called a "flashback"). Depending on proximity of one of these pathways to a pyramidal structure connecting to the corpus callosum, you could also see general seizure activity. Tell your friend that this is a serious medical condition and that seizures cause brain damage and only worsen as time progresses and that he needs to be treated. Yes, it can be life threatening, depending on the severity of the seizure activity. Left untreated, the condition will only get worse every time a seizure occurs, because every time one does occur, the affected pathways are strengthened.

Storied like this are exactly why I try and stick with traditionally used ceremonial medicines. I sincerely hope your friend, and you, are alright and hope it will serve as a lesson of why we should not fuck around with things that have not had the chance to stand the test of time, let alone any real scientific research.

Is your friend going to see a doctor? I, for one, am interested in hearing what the medical community has to say about this.

Wow this makes me want to never try 25i. I've had a few tabs for a while, but now I'm glad I've never eaten them.

He will not see a doctor until he moves out of his parents house, being that he's now 18 it shouldn't be too long.

He should just... tell his parents he experimented with drugs, yo... If he's honest about it, and has a legitimate medical problem, I'm willing to wager they'd rather him be honest, and potentially "hurt their feelings" than die, have brain damage, or wind up with something irreversible that could have been prevented. I had my parents take me to the hospital on too many hbwr seeds when I was 17, because I was unable to move my muscles, or even speak. I could have just drank water, but I was too out of it to know what was wrong. I thought it was due to vasoconstriction, or something, and I didn't have any asprin.

I wouldn't recommend it. As counterintuitive as it may seem, drugs whose mechanism of action involves many different receptor types/subtypes tend to be safer than subtype-specific drugs like 25i. IIRC the binding efficacy of 25i at the 5HT2a receptor subtype is over 95%. Another potential problem seems to be that certain blotters could have been improperly laid, since many are being laid by amateurs who have ordered the chemicals in solid form from the internet, which can make an enormous difference with drugs that are this potent. 25i can seem attractive because it's cheap and potent, but the LSD/mushroom/mescaline experience is honestly just better in more ways than I can count.

I think all of us druggies should be able to go somewhere akin to a needle exchange to pick up our Drug Crisis Kits, which would include at least Valium, Narcan, and a good vasodilator.

Drunk-bought drugs can be taken eventually or doled out to unsuspecting middle schoolers as "acid", but those leather Abercrombie flip flops that your vodkad-up self ordered during the winter of 2009-2010 are with you forever...

It really does make me feel stupider, moreso than any drug I have taken, including massive doses of DXM taken multiple times per week. I know a guy who took about 100mg of of 25i in the space of a couple months and he is the most depersonalized individual I have ever met. He got a tattoo on his arm that says "You're alive", apparently to remind him that he is alive every time he sees it...
