Spawned to bulk, 20 days later no fruit

I spawned from pf to bulk 50/50 verm/coir/gypsum. Colonized in 3 days, and put em in my automated fruiting chamber (70 deg, 88-92% rh from an ultrasonic on a humidistat, with filtered fans that run 6 times daily for 30 mins for FAE).
Approx 20 days later, no fruit, no pins, no contams. The bulk substrate is shrinking a touch in their tinfoil meatloaf pans, but I have not added water yet.
Any suggestions? This is really driving me crazy, first time spawning to bulk substrate. Pf cakes in the same FC are doing fine.

Build a shotgunfruitingchamber and fill it with 4"-6" of perlite. Spray it down and let it drain real good, then with gloved hands stir the perlite up and make it airy. Then sit it at least a few inches off of the ground, and put the trays in it. Mist and fan daily until the mycelium is glistening, and when it no longer glistens mist again and then fan for a minute or so.

mist, fan and be patient.
Don't worry about your sub shrinking. it should shrink as it's eaten by the mycelium

even if my projects looked done after 3 days I wouldn't put it into fruiting till day 7-8. if I broke up grains and poured them only into a tray it would still take a solid 5-7 days for them to fully recover. so the 3 day colonization thing is a bit suspicious to me.

I have had tubs finish their spawn run in as little as 4 days, but that was with grain spawn at a high ratio and I dunked the spawn. They were also exceptionally fast as my average is closer to 6 days. 3 days for pf spawn does sound pretty fast. The fact that the sub did not start shrinking until after it was put into fruiting leads me to think that it may have had some weak colonization throughout, but was by no means done and spent the next few days finishing its colonization of the sub.
