Exotic Pets * 1
    #19313048 - 12/22/13 06:29 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

Anyone have/want any exotic pets?

I don't have any yet, but I do really want a fennec fox, a wallaby, and a wolf/wolf hybrid.
The most attainable is the wolf hybrid, but I have a German Shepherd and in about a yr when my buddy breeds his dogs I'll be getting a pit bull-bull mastiff mix and I don't know if the wolf/wolf hybrid would cohabitate with them.

I want a fucking owl. No one would fuck with me if I had an owl. You would have to warship me, because I would be a god. My beautiful Snowy owl would rain LSD from the sky for the masses.

It would be beautiful.

Snowy owls are one of the most beautiful animals on the planet. That would be awesome, but not legal I don't think. All the animals I listed are legal to own as pets.

Illegally, my dream pet would be a penguin.

You have to own an aviary just to own an owl.

No they aren't, but they run around $1k.
There's a wolf and wolf hybrid breeder a couple hrs south of me. Idk exactly what he charges, but I know its less than a G.

That's awesome, but I don't live in Japan, nor do I intend to lol.
A friend of my grandmother's stole a penguin from South America once and kept it, but he got caught and had to send it back somehow.

They're really shy. They always seem alarmed.

Ive been looking at african grey parrots they are very intellectual and can learn to talk, but I haven't bought one yet cause I work alot and read they need alot of attention to keep them happy. I thought about playing sounds from jungle on my surround sound while at work but Im still reading about them.

I know this isn't that exotic but I used to have a hedgehog. It was honestly a pretty shitty pet. she was nice for like the first 2 months, then she randomly had some babies. i guess she was pregnant when we bought her. but get this, she ATE HER BABIES. i shit you not. I don't know why she did it but she did it. after that happened, she hated being handled and would just turn into a spikey ball if you tried to pick her up. rats are much better rodent pets.

the best pets are the most commonly owned pets in my experience. labrador retrievers, golden retrievers, etc. I love my lab and she loves me. or at least she acts like she loves me, and that's what's important to me. also she was easy as fuck to train. she basically house trained herself. i dont think she has ever shit in the house, literally, ever, and i could probably count the number of times she has peed in the house on one hand. only ever happens in moments of extreme excitement

I think a sugar glider would be a pretty cool little pet. I don't know about in the States but you need a license to have one here.

My buddy has an African gray. It's pretty low maintenance. They're awesome! His knows every Nextel ringtone and if you leave the room before he's done chillin with you he'll "ring" to trick you into coming back to answer the phone.

Lots of animals eat their first litter, including cats and dogs oftentimes.

I love my German Shepherd and she appears to love me too. Dogs are definitely my favorite pet, but I don't want the exotic ones for ease of ownership, I want them cuz they're awesome. I mean, who wouldn't want a fuckin mini kangaroo?

Sugar gliders are cool, and they're legal here, but I don't think they'd be good to have if you have larger pets too.

I believe it. I used to feed my hedgehog raw beef meatballs. He ate cow meat. :sleepingcow: Even my cats won't eat beef.
