Its a Yugo sks. Anyone know anything about it? I love it. Shoots straight and very well.
I am thinking of moding it and making it a 700 yd gun. Anyone know of any mods that will make this possible. BESIDES OPTICS. I looked into a bull barrel but cannot find one.

Yeah, they're very reliable and durable guns.
Lmao, you're not gonna turn a yugo SKS into a 700 yard gun though. The caliber that you're shooting isn't built for that. The optimal effective range for a 7.39 round is around 330 yards and that's with top of the line ammo which you're not gonna be able to find. That gun is a short range monster but anything past three hundred yards and you might as well be throwing hot rocks. An SKS really isn't a target gun, it was built for short range war in rugged conditions out in the humid, wet forests where it could do what it's best at which is never falling and punching through dense foliage and trees. It's a brush gun, not a target rifle. You won't be punching any paper in the bulls eye any time soon but you have a good zombie gun, if you can fin good ammo. (Unfortunately you won't.)
Sorry, bud, lol.

Agreed the Yugo SKS is not meant for long range marksmanship. I have owned one for about 5 years now the only thing I did was remove the heavy wood stock and replace it with a synthetic earth green stock. I shoot it with iron sights and I'd say like previously said 300 yrds or so and that's it.
