I just can't imagine that more people would rather sit in front of the TV and watch sport or Duck Dynasty or some such thing when they could be experiencing the wonders of drugs and music.  I have to think that they're just scared, programmed to be fearful of self-expression beyond violence, bland comedy, and mainstream religion.  We all know that a drug is just a chemical, it is the people that are taking the drugs that are to be feared.

This is true, but the majority of the music you listen to would've never existed without drugs.

Drugs are the inspiration, not their creativity. That's a pretty debatable statement. There are lots of instances where drugs get in the way of just that.

Just like that new Jimi Hendrix album that just came out. It's pretty sick I can't wait until he goes on tour again, I hope he doesn't retire like he was talking about, because that would be sad.

You're right, but that's why I said "the majority." There's plenty of evidence to support either side of the argument, and therefore the argument is fruitless.

Yeah, I'm gonna be super bummed if he retires. I'm hoping to see him on tour with Stevie Ray Vaughn someday.

Brainwashed indeed.. though not drugs specificly, but to live in a state of constant fear and worry.

It's more of a shallow worry though. Short of extraneous circumstances, it's hard to know (or rather be aware of) sheer terror while you're watching duck dynasty.

One strong Aya brew deep with ten years of late teenage sins/selfish acts under your belt, a deadly habit, just after deciding to drop out of college in your senior year despite near straight a's, while a paternalistic mother spirit has you belly first on the ground, stomping out the kinks in your back and hissing at you in alien languages that you somehow understand, however...
