Quick lighting question

Sorry if someone asked this, I couldn't find my answer when searching, so I'm creating this new post.
I was just wondering, how much sunlight is enough sunlight? I remember reading somewhere that as long as you can see them, that's enough light?
I'm just wondering because it's been cloudy where I live lately, and I was just worried my plants might not have enough light when it's cloudy outside?

depends what you're growing. cubensis thrive in shady warm climates. oyster mushrooms like a little more light. also you say you're growing plants?? fungus fruiting bodies are not plants. are you growing outdoors? if indoors just get a cheap flourescent light. pictures always help. good luck.

You'll read that a lot, but it's noobs giving bad advice to other noobs. Get a 6500K CFL and locate it a few inches above and to one side of the tub. If your window gets a few minutes of direct sunlight that's good too. In fact, with sufficient misting they can be in direct sunlight behind a window nearly all day. The only danger to watch for is drying out. You can trigger massive pinsets this way. RR

I get sunlight through a window behind my GH and it works beautifully. I also have a really bright CFL in the middle of the room and the fruits turn out so perfect I love it. you can see the window in this pic.

slow air exchange triggering evaporation from your substrate and proper lighting and you should get some great results if you did everything right. good luck
