Depressing people at work...
    #19310039 - 12/22/13 12:01 AM (10 years, 1 month ago)

Sup guys? I'm currently working at Olive Garden for the next few months until I ship off to Paris Island for USMC Boot Camp. The job's not too bad, VERY easy work and the managers are easy to get along with. However, every server there pretty much hates their life.. They mope around, curse constantly, and spread many bad vibes. They cause a lot of problems and then complain about those problems like it was someone else's fault. No one takes charge and goes the extra mile. I try to stay motivated and go in with a positive attitude to brighten people's day.. but I feel like that just annoys them.. Anyone else have work experiences like this?

Yeah, it's called wage slavery; that shit breaks you down after a while when you have no end in sight.  Keep your own attitude positive and light, joke when you can to lighten spirits but otherwise keep to yourself and try your best not to be drawn into the soul-sucking drama machine while you do your time, you've obviously other plans for yourself so be happy that this isn't your future.

The drama is so draining.. everyone talks shit about each other then acts like they're friends. It's disgusting..

Everything is better than it was the last time.  I'm good.

If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care.

It takes a lot of courage to go out there and radiate your essence.

I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared too.  If you was there, and we just knew you cared too.
