I need help with an ID' bolete or polypore

Growing on a downed log, probably cottonwood

Red pores attached

Stem:
Thick stem apron 10mm in diameter red
Cap:
Diameter 25-35 mm
Concave cap (like a chanterelle but less pronounced red color
the second pic is one turned upside down cellphone pics so sorry for poor resolution.


Yellow margins about an inch and a half in diameter total

Might be a Pycnoporus species.

It has a distinct stem though, in the second pic it is the yellow in the center

Trametes (Pycnoporus) can develop a "stipe" Usually on top of stumps. I saw a Trametes elegans at a foray this year with a perfectly round body and an almost two inch thick "stipe".
