Because the people making minimum wage can barely afford a car let alone much gas.

Spose it depends on who you ask. Is being rich a right?

No, not like everyone has a right to food, a place to sleep, and freedom of information.

Get caught up in material things and you should suffer, also seems right to me. Actually it could be simplified to "you deserve to suffer". That is a slice of life right there.

I can't see what freedom of information has anything to do with the conversation. You have no more right to free food or shelter then you have right to free anything else in this world. Any material goods given for free in this world is charity not a right

Ok whatever, you decide what is important to you. I'm talking about what I think everyone deserves as basic rights. Is this a human concept? Yep. Gotta work with what we have. I just hate hypocrites who act like they are so anti-government, except for the army police and various regulatory agencies which keep the illusion of wealth viable.
I say if we have a government it should be to help people. People can get rich on their own ok, but we need to work together on some things. Basic living standards being met for more people is a good thing which cannot be measured in dollars. Its just good.

How is it any of your business what "I get caught up in", Adolph? I don't expect you to pay for it.

That would be a problem if there is a fixed amount of wealth

I'm not saying it's a problem, they can be snobby their whole lives and never suffer, but they will probably never receive any real fulfillment in life.
I don't believe there should be any income caps or anything silly like that. There is no reason why anyone shouldn't be able to accumulate as much as they want. If that's what they value in life, and if they choose not to do good with it, that's their problem.

There isnt even close to enough resources on this planet for every person or even every family to have a car. If there is not enough resources for everyone to have a car, why should we expect the minimum a person can possibly make be enough to buy a car? That is fundamentally unsustainable.
