Weird looking cubensis b+ pin formations

Hello all, this is my first post as a new user!
I am getting some great pin formation using the pf tek method and dunking and rolling. My shrooms have started to pin. However, they look as if they already have opened their caps and they have barely started to grow. I looked at other pics of other cubensis pins and they don't look very similar in cap shape.
Here is a pic. Does this look like cubensis? I ordered my spores from a reputable source. Just doesn't look like the strain I was expecting.
Any thoughts?

Looks like a lot of other people's "first flush" pics around here. If it was your first time, not bad. Give us a full description of each step by step and some of the pro's around here can prolly tell you why your fruits look a little under par.

Definitely looks like cubensis. Are you misting and fanning three times a day? Your cakes look dry.

Yes, this us my first time. My fruiting chamber is a large plastic tub. I am using an ultrasonic humidifier hooked up to an old terrarium monitor I have. It keeps the tub exactly at 92 humidity. I runs pretty frequently and is not directly blowing on the shrooms. I open the top and fan at least once a day but am sure the humidifier is bringing in some fresh air as well.
I didn't wait for primordia before the birthday. As soon as they colonized I dunked and rolled them. That was about 10 days ago.
What's the deal with mutant mushrooms? Are they good to eat? When to harvest?

If the caps open, I'd pick them. And, yes, eat them. They'll be good, just small. Probably just mutants. I get these every so often, usually after the second flush. It happens sometimes. Keep going!
