Where would you build

If you had a choice, where would you build a small cabin that would not only provide enough privacy but be within driving range to a town that is casual and fun. Of course it can't be super expensive but I was thinking maybe Colorado or someplace similar.

Out in the BC redwoods.

#2 - I can grow tons of weed

Sounds like it would be to lonely out there though...it would be nice to be near a town you can visit and fit in when you want to be somewhat social.

You said we would be building a cabin, you never said it was going to be my permanent residence.
Either way, I bring the party to me, because I'm awesome.

No doubt I would go to Washington state. I lived there a few years at Ft. Lewis (Right outside of Tacoma) Of course I would get out of the cities all together. Just do a quick google search of counties and population and go from there.

No cabin it would be an underground bunker out in the middle of the wyoming wastes.

- I heard Washington was good place..along with Oregon.
- Underground is kinda extreme but I have seen people bury those railroad car containers and use em as a living area.
- PS.. the cabin would be full time living

I'd pick Colorado.
-you can grow weed legally -you can brew your own booze -close enough to big cities if you want to do something there -close to the mountains to snowboard -friendly people -not too cold, not too hot
I'd never pick up north or on the coast like Oregon. Too cold and rains too much.

Somewhere up in Washington or Colorado area. Maybe Montana, but they need to become more weed-friendly. They have a lot of wild game though, so you wouldn't have to worry about food. Either near a lot of wild game or near the ocean. The ocean provides food. Best of both worlds if you live near the forests of the PNW and the ocean.

The only place in So-Cal I'd live is the Big Sur forest. The rest is too dry and fire-hazardy hehe.

I think Montana and Alaska would be to isolated. As for Georgia, probably to muggy for my taste. Gotta stay closer to the west coast.

Hey, I live in Montana!
Its the most beautiful state there is and its actually too populated for my liking. We are the 4th largest state and we just finally broke the 1 million people in the entire state! lol

The west-coast, if you stay there, make sure you're not around 200ft sealevel if you're near the ocean. The Juan De Fuca is at the beginning of its expectancy point for another megathrust 9.0 or bigger.
