The Future is Going To Be a Hell of a Ride
    #19304523 - 12/20/13 06:58 PM (10 years, 1 month ago)

Global warming is going to give us a hell of a ride in the coming years. I predict more "conflict" and detrimental issues over water resources, oil, food prices, ocean acidification etc.
Things are probably going to get much more uncomfortable in the coming years folks. This article explains the issue much better than me.

http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/global-warmings-terrifying-new-math-20120719

For those of you agree with the vast majority of the world's top scientists, and know that global warming is in fact real, what is your opinion on how it will affect the coming years for the rich and poor countries all around the globe?
For the quacks who still are blind to the issue, and refuse the evidence, get the fuck out of my thread.

Ps: I wouldn't have any kids. They would suffer much more than I will in than I will in the coming years IMHO.
Is global warming/environmental destruction going to fuck humanity in the ass within the next 100 years
You may choose only one

I don't have much input.

But I don't like it one bit.

I say 50% because we will probably find another way to screw ourselves before global warming kills us off. Probably just finish us. That's how the world works to rebalance itself...

there's a lot of good things happening too, technology is increasing exponentially and no longer is it all harmful to the environment. i think we have a good shot at survival, especially if more and more people embrace one love and learn how to truly work together

I love your positivity friend. I love the idea. But that is simply not how our species has behaved ever, in written history.

Its sad what humans are doing to our planet. At this point I don't even know if we c an fix it. We should have ended our dependence on fossil fuels a long time ago. I use very little oil, recycle glass, plastic, and metal, burn papers, and have a compost pile. Its not difficult to sort your trash while throwing it away. As far as the impact of global warming, there will probably be a lot of extinctions, more natural disasters, crops lost, ocean levels rising, and much more.

We're not ALL enjoying this time. See the drone strikes in the middle east on weddings/women/ children (War on OIL), the starvation in Africa (some due to drought), rainforest deforestation, genocides, etc.
I'm not trying to be a downer though man, I was once optimistic about humanity like you. I hope you're right and I'm wrong. I will try to see the positive side in this.
