Getting back into growing.

Hi
I havent grown mushrooms for a couple of years, I did use the PF tek a few times and did pretty well.
My question is, I am looking to start growing again. I have all the main bits i need (I think, it has been a while, Im not sure I remember how to do this tbh, might need to watch lots of videos again).
Anyway, my fruiting chamber with perlite has just been sitting on carpet for about 18 months in a room I never use and the jars I used have just been sitting on a shelf. Is this going to be a problem, would I need to buy all new stuff? Or could I just make up the mixture and sterilise the jars in a pressure cooker?
Thanks
Twig

You owning a pressure cooker will make the re-use of those jars a piece of cake, like the above poster stated, just wash out the jars and then sterilize your cakes for 90 minutes at 15psi, and they will be fine.
You could always wash the Perlite in a mix of water and Hydrogen Peroxide(H2O2) as well, that is if you question whether having it sit unattended for such a length of time has allowed the introduction of contaminants to it.

Cool, thats all? Would you recommend using hydrogen peroxide solution for use on the perlite? Like I say, its been on the carpet for about 18 months or more.
