    #19303608 - 12/20/13 03:52 PM (10 years, 1 month ago)

Would some "ATTEMPT" to explain the less then honorable, 1/2 term governor's comments that the Duck Dynasty guy had his 1st amendment rights violated.

All any of us really need is the 2nd amendment.  :cookiemonster:

People who are claiming a 1st amendment violation obviously do not understand the 1st amendment.

Huh?

A&E can do whatever they want.  Phil voiced his opinion and A&E responded.  A&E voiced its opinion and the people will respond.  I think A&E expected the show to showcase a bunch of ignorant redneck peckerwoods for mockery.  It didn't work out that way.  I hope the Robertsons take the most successful cable show to some other network.

I have no sympathy for anyone involved.  The duck guy is an idiotic jesus freak moron who thinks his personal relationship with a fantasy charecter entitles him to be a dickwad, and A&E is stupid for firing someone for something that has absolutely nothing to do with what they pay him for and is a perfectly reasonable opinion.  The bible does indeed say homosexuality is a sin, and many people believe that, and I don't know when the hell everyone became so uptight that it can't even be debated in public.  That encourages intolerance rather than suppresses it, it privledges is and protects it from the criticism it would otherwise get.

what i find ironic is that people are getting mad at him for saying that stuff. Yet he is essentially quoting the bible, everything he said comes directly from the bible, so why aren't people freaking out about the bible?

Yeah, I don't get it either.  As best I can figure its because the fundamentalists agree with the bible, the liberal mushy christians don't really read it but just have faith its more tempered than it really is and/or don't believe it anyways, and the nonchristian liberals are terrified about finding a belief structure such as religion that is often transmitted through families wrong, as it would make them intolerant.

God does hate fags according to the bible.  This shouldn't be news to anyone.  Personally I think the solution is to throw the bible out the window, but at least take a stand.

I could care less what this clown says, I'm tired of the Incorrect Wing of politics screaming about 1st amendment violations when there is none.
