Lao Tzu born in contemporary America
    #1930320 - 09/18/03 09:41 PM (13 years, 2 months ago)

What would this man have become. The awful truths would sicken him. would he be a suicidal maniac, a 9-5 worker, a philosopher... I cant organize all my thoughts on this topic so I'll wait for the right opportunity

Whatever he'd be I think it's safe to say he'd be involved in a life of service in some way- whether it be a writer, artist, or any kind of public servant. Any community having him as a servant would be fortunate to have him to say the least.

Did Lao Tzu actually exist?
Hasn't it been hypothesized that there was more than one author behind the Tao Te Ching?

Lao Tzu, if he was a real person, was a man of practical values who was fond of revenge... IMHO.
