This little Indonesian dude who came here to train at the place I work -- couldn't have weighed more than 95 pounds. Fuck maybe less. Probably like 5'4". He took a Greyhound by himself and was sitting in his seat waiting for the bus to take off, and according to him some huge, 6'4", 350 pound redneck fucker made him give up his seat. Because the dude didn't want to sit in the back or some shit. Little Indonesian guy said "but this is my seat, I sat here first". Then fat redneck bro spit in his face, made a fist and said, "not anymore". Lol again this is all something I overheard so I can't vouch, but it is fucking Greyhound after all, which makes it pretty believable.

Poor Indonesian dude got scared and politely gave up his seat.

Conclusion:

Interesting things do not, in fact, happen on Greyhound buses.

On my grade 8 class trip at the end of the year we went to Quebec. We spent the whole time toking in the back of the bus, just making sure we blew it out the back and everyone had the windows open. It was perfect because most of the teachers took separate vehicles, and the one that was there slept the whole time because the bumps were making her sick. Same night we made blanket ropes in the hotel and snuck in to peoples rooms, getting high and fucking around. My buddy got laid that night. Good times.

Greyhound = 3rd world.

I've seen shit on Greyhound I never thought I'd see in America.
And, I worked for GTX(?), Greyhound's mail service.

Swear to God, saw a guy named Ralph literally FART ...right in front of a customer
...then tell her, "No, it's not gross. It's natural." This was in San Antonio...

Not as bad as Los angeles metros.  Its like they think nobody rides them, it smells like a mcdonalds play place/urinal.  But they get you places when you can't drive so i don't mind.

I have taken a ride from SA to Rochester, back to SA, to Arcata, through LA, to PDX, etc. Seen it all man. Funny thing? My wife, from Mexico has taken the 'spanish' bus...sooo much nicer.

More leg room, etc. Crazy. Monopoly = Greyhound.

In fact, when I was hired had to sit through this video...told about how 'Greyhound' started out busing children to the coal mines in Minesotta...!!! No shit, I thought abought walking back in there to get that VHS tape/

The most memorable ones are always the worst ones...

One time I sat next to a pretty big guy who was telling me he just got out of jail for assault of a police officer and distribution of meth. he was supposedly on his way to vegas to restart his meth empire.

There's the occasional alcoholic, with unexplained stains all over their clothes and a big gulp full of whiskey and coke.

And of course the fat smelly person whose second or third roll sits on your leg the whole time

I'v sat next to a fat dude who sweated on me for about ten hours.
He was in the bathroom at one stop so long, I prayed to God the bus would take off without him. No luck. From shitty ass PNX (Pheonix?)  to SA, sweat sweat sweat....all soaking into me...that fuck!

The only time I rode a greyhound, their wasn't many people on the bus at all.  Everyone could have their own seat.

The only thing memorable about the trip was that when I was entering Canada, the customs officer searched me and asked me questions for 5 minutes.  He took my passport and went to his office to talk to another officer.  They asked for my phone to see my hostel reservations, gave me back my phone, and said "thank you"

so I left, got on the bus, and entered Canada.

but later, I realized that they never gave me back my passport.  So I had accidentally illegally entered Canada.

After my 4 years in the Army I decided to take a greyhound home instead of flying so I could see the the states. It took me three and a half days to get home from Ft. Lewis Washington. Nothing really exciting happened. It was nice to see the country side. I had a camelback filled with Jagermeister and redbull. I just kept to myself, kept a little buzz, and enjoyed the ride. If I had the money I would move back to Washington. Such a beautiful area. A lot of decent people to. Not to mention its one of if not the best place in the U.S. for fungi.

Beheaded and Cannibalized on a Greyhound

According to witnesses, McLean was sleeping with his headphones on when the man sitting next to him suddenly produced a large knife and began stabbing McLean in the neck and chest. The attacker then decapitated McLean and displayed his severed head to other passengers outside who had fled the bus in horror. The driver and two other men had attempted to rescue McLean but were chased away by Li, who slashed wildly at them from behind the locked bus doors. Li then went back to the body and began severing other body parts and consuming some of McLean's flesh.

Yea, the real shitty part is now they have a stop check in the Winnipeg bus terminal--no one can take a bus through there without submitting to a search by security.

Really stupid, though--I've taken buses all over Canada and this is the only place I've ever seen a check--you can get on the bus stop 30mins before Winnipeg, or 30mins after Winnipeg, and circumvent this 'security checkpoint'.

It's really just a lame implementation by politicians to cash in on what was then a current issue.

I'm almost got caught the first time, before I was aware of the change--walking up to catch my bus with a hunting knife on my belt and a half oz of ganja in my pocket--my backpack had been stolen a week earlier, so I didn't even have anywhere to stash these things--not like it would have mattered, I was basically in front of security by the time I realized that I had to pass through a security checkpoint.

Long story short, they found everything but I smooth-talked my way through and had nothing confiscated.

I've had my luggage ripped open, cut open with a knife apparently, too lazy to just open it, wtf? they stole my Funyuns and a 'digital walkman. Not even kidding. When I went to make a report, the lady at the terminal (in Rochester) said to her friend next to her, loud enough so I could hear, "A lot of times these people report things stolen when it never even happened."

Seen old white men thrown out of lines they've been waiting in for hours, customers treated like cattle, then criminals, etc.

Seriously, check your yellow pages. The Mexican buses are a million times better. More leg room, a tv fr every third seat, etc. I was amazed when I escorted my wife onto one of these amazing buses.

It was amazing. I was a mazed.
