I've got one cake that's absolutely covered in sprouting mycelium. The fruitbodies are all totally covered with mycelium as well, and some look more like long-haired cats than mushrooms.
As none of the other cakes are doing anything even remotely close to this, I was wondering if there is some biological basis/trigger/reason as to why one cake would have totally overactive mycelium while the rest of them are fine.
(I can add pics if anyone is interested.)
