Hi all, this is the story of the results after my very first grow. The events listed took place 2 summers ago. In retrospect I understand it a little better. I got a decent little amount of Golden Teachers from a simple invitro bag. I shared these with various people, and all agreed that they were the best they'd ever had (appearance, high, and potency). I'm sure they've only had cubensis though, but they'd all tried it many times. Here is a sample of what they looked like:

I tripped 3 separate times off of these. Each time, ONLY 1 GRAM PER PERSON WAS INGESTED (with one unique exception during the second trip). Let's get to it!
First trip (in a word: Bliss)
My best friend and I were waiting for a perfect day to try them. A day came when the sun was shining, clear sky, the slightest chill... it was perfect. The very beginning of Autumn; the leaves had just started changing. We had the shrooms sitting on the table in his living room, physically and mentally preparing ourselves for the journey to come. We each loaded up a small backpack with various supplies. We had some gatorade, sour gummy worms, and some chips/crackers that I don't remember (perhaps goldfish?). We also put on some tripping sunglasses in case we encountered anyone in our voyage.
We headed outside. It couldn't be a more perfect day. We enjoyed our last moments of sobriety as we made our way through the subdivision to a farm field behind it. Beyond the fields there was a vast forest with lots of marshes and rivers. Halfway through the field, we began eating the shrooms. They were dry, but not nearly as bad tasting as I had expected. I kind of preferred the flavor actually. We each dosed exactly 1 gram. We slowly made our way to the trails that enter the forest. It had rained days before, but it wasn't muddy.
Entering the forest was a relief. No civilians around to spoil the fun. Just us and mother nature. Eventually we hit train tracks and followed them until we hit a bridge. It was a long walk. The forest temporarily ended. The landscape was vast. A huge marsh/lake flowed into a wide river underneath us. We crossed the bridge and set up near one of those large railroad traffic lights. We began to eat some snacks and just talked about life wondering when we would feel funny. The sun was shining bright. After about 20 minutes or so, the sunshine felt warmer and brighter. I stood up to stretch, but I felt a great deal heavier. My limbs felt loose and wiggly. I sat down and we both started giggling like school girls. We both gasped and realized this was the beginning of something great. We were ready.
A lot of time was invested giggling and just moving around in this spot; acclimating to our new found laziness. After a while we headed back the way we came towards the start of the bridge. The sun was radiating pure bliss; it was beautiful. We headed into the woods and came upon a small overflowing stream due to the previous rain. It cascaded over many levels; a chain of miniature waterfalls. Each about a foot drop. We dipped our hands in the water, and I fell (laughing) into a moss covered log that crossed the stream. I lifted my head back up and examined the moss closely. It was slowly swaying and breathing while changing colors. Make no mistake about it; this was one of the most beautiful scenes I've ever witnessed. A miniature oasis... a paradise... given to us by mother earth to enjoy. I have never seen any hint of water flowing in that spot since that day. It was once in a lifetime.
We started to make our way back towards home. We probably looked drunk the way we were stumbling through the woods, grabbing trees for support. The bark of the trees was flowing like a river. We came to the edge of the forest and saw the wide open field. We took a break and laid down in between the forest and the field. Tall grass surrounded us. I played "No Rain" by Blind Melon (I know it's a typical tripping song) as we stared at the tree tops. The orange leaves were gently spinning and changing hues. The sky was vast and a perfect shade of blue. For once in my life, I had no worries. I didn't think about anything besides the beauty of it all. This was probably one of the happiest times of my life, if not the only time I was TRULY happy.
Making our way through the field, we soon entered the subdivision. It felt... strange, to say the least. Civilization. I felt like a primitive being walking into a futuristic society. The transition was incredibly dramatic. The edges of the road were wavy. the road looked like a giant slithering snake. His house was in view. We sat on the front porch for a couple minutes before we went inside.
As I stepped inside, the walls of the house immediately contracted. The whole structure started shrinking. It then expanded. I definitely understood the "breathing" phenomena everyone had told me about. Wherever two walls met, there was a slight glow. The house pulsed with me, it was strange but not too frightening. It felt so small after being outside. We talked with his girlfriend briefly about how the trip was going. Talking to somebody who was sober felt intense. She packed a bowl and we toked which eased the feeling of being inside. I wanted to listen to some music, so I put in my headphones and blasted "The Pot" by Tool. I closed my eyes for the whole song. Closed eye visuals took over my mind. All I saw was giant swirls of orange and yellow. It was intense but fun! The buildup of the song made me feel like my head exploded, but in a very good way. The song ended and I remembered I was in a room with other people. I lifted my head and took a huge breath, amazed at what had just happened. This was near the end of the trip. After this we just talked about how it felt to start coming down from such a great high.
We were very grateful for the experience. My first trip (and grow) couldn't have gone any better. This was one of the best adventures of my life. I will post parts 2 and 3 very soon, so check back. To anyone who took the time to read this, I hope you can relate and enjoyed hearing about my journey. My apologies for any grammatical errors and etc.
