Cloud nine (kratom)

Feelin good right now. :psychsplit:

Just used the last of my kratom. I'll probably have to make an order in a few weeks for some more. What strains does the shroomery recommend?

I'm partial to the red vein varieties--in particular Super Borneo Red. I find that Maeng Da, while tasting better than average, is not worth the considerable premium you pay most of the time.

Depends on what you are looking for as far as how you feel. I use it medicinally because of my GAD.

Red vein strains are very sedating, which I enjoy because of my anxiety. Also it lasts 6-8 hours

Green Vein has an energetic come up (1-2 hours) followed by a sedating high which lasts 5-7 hours.

White Vein is a purely energetic high from what I've read, heard, and seen. Almost like caffeine but with an euphoric opiate effect.

When it comes down to it, the potency of kratom is the maturity of the tree which the leaves are being picked from.

I've been fortunate recently to find out where 75% of kratom wholesale vendors buy from to ship to the US for retail. I cannot share sources, but the price difference is absurd. All I can say is that they are all shipped from Indonesia. Enjoy your kratom :peace: &

I've had whites and Thais. Too stimulating IMO. I haven't tried out any greens but those sound like what I'm looking for.

I think the kind I just tried recently was red vein thai. My friend bought just a couple ounces, and I think I took like 6-7 grams of it and I was surprised it actually felt like I took around 35-40 mg of hydrocodone. Just not as full of a high, but still really nice, more of a mood lift than euphoria. But I've only tried kratom a few times.

For sure. As a former opiate addict, and having been clean for almost 9 year now. Kratom has been a wonderful thing for me.

The good thing about Kratom is that it affects your MU Opioid receptors (thus feeling a similar euphoria from traditional opiates) but it also affects you Delta receptors which basically resets the feeling of having to take more.

If abused, of course it can lead to habitual use, but the withdrawals IME have been a couple days of feeling a bit tired..then back to baseline. I highly suggest it to anyone that has had any opiate related problems in the past. It's cheap, it doesn't affect your CNS bodily functions. So you can't OD.

I've recommended it to so many of my friends that have been addicted to pharma and street opiates, and it's pretty amazing how well it works. Fuck Methadone and Suboxone treatment. That's my 2 cents on this wonderful plant.

I'm not sure how often you're using it but be careful that if you get into daily dosing you're basically going to be just as mentally addicted as you would be to any other opiate (which means you will get the horrible depression/anxiety/fatigue when stopping). Physical addiction may be a bit weaker compared to regular opiates but mentally you're still crutching.

But ya I agree, being a former opiate user like you, kratom doesnt give me the cravings that regular opiates do so I can keep my use spread out and it has been a nice addition to my life recently .

As for the topic, all in all I prefer a good green vein borneo. It has the boost of energy/euphoria for a while then fades out to a regular red vein feel. I have heard that red vein thai has more of this green vein feel so its something I want to try next.

It's nice to mix strains as well, Green/white's go awesome with Reds.

White Vein Indo, with Bali was my favorite. Green Malay and RV Borneo wasn't bad either.

Since I've only tried it a couple times and haven't had any addiction issues with opiates, I couldn't really say anything about it there, but it's obvious it helps a lot of people.

I just texted a buddy of mine about it now, I just found out a few days ago he's had a pretty strong dependency the past few months with pharms, now he's doin dope. But he's only a few months in but still using pretty heavy so I think his chances of quitting easily are pretty good if kratom really helps him like it has for you.

I wouldn't really know exactly which strains to recommend him for that though. What would you have in mind if he ends up wanting to give it a shot?

Well. I believe a red vein strain is the way to go if someone has an opiate dependency. I'm sure some people here would beg to differ with my opinion, but that's what I suggest.

As far as your friend quitting opiates. He needs to WANT to quit, otherwise it won't happen. It really is a drug that once you're addicted something bad has to happen in order for a person to realize that they need to be clean.

As far as the Kratom goes, when I quit opiates, I went cold turkey from a 350-400mg oxycodone a day habit cold turkey and dealt with it. If I had known about Kratom back then it would've been a lot easier.

I'm grateful everyday tho that I did it that way because I would never touch oxy or H again. It depends on your mindset and how you're approaching your situation. Feel free to :pm: me if you would like some more information about what I've been through.

Try some DXM and phenibut with it. At least...
IMHO, Kratom alone is eye woggling waste of time.

It seems to me you've been taking head shop kratom with fillers which will be utterly disappointing.

DXM and Phenibut is not a very smart to mix with kratom.

Although DXM has been used to treat opiate addicts, I don't believe that's the way to go about it.
