So I've only just started working on it... This is the super beta rough cut but I thought I would give you guys a teaser! I smoked salvia divinorum x20 a couple months ago, it completely destroyed me. Today I decided that I would try to recreate the hallucinations I had via animation using the open source program pencil. Each frame is drawn individually so it is quite a process! Here's what I got so far!
be
anybody else ever animate their trips?

Jesus christ. the fucking randomness of salvia is just mind-boggling. Pretty cool though that you actually hallucinated objects and stuff. I always just saw wierd shit. Kinda like andrewmurray's sig actually. I hope you plan on finishing the animation.. it's actually really good so far.

Thanks man! I suppose I should post my trip report as well because it is slightly confusing without it!
I Smoked the salvia and laid down on my bed. I started to feel this strange sensation like there were strings tied to my wrists and ankles. They were tugging trying to get me to close like a book. I sat there enjoying this strange sensation until it overtook me and I "closed". From there I was blasted into another dimension and I arrived as a door, falling toward the ground. Half way through my fall I turned into and hammer and when I hit the ground I puffed into a cloud of smoke and there I was, myself! (in reality I fell off my bed and ate shit) I was in this strange place like a palace with hedges (similar to the red queen's palace in alice in wonderland) I looked up at the sun and it was a mushroom pizza with a face and he was angry at me but he knew I was doomed so he was laughing! I ran away in terror and in an attempt to escape his glare I ran through these large red arched doors. Immediately I turned into one of those saws that lumber jacks used to use in the day (the kind that takes 2 people) and I started flying down this hallway horizontally at hyperspeed. I noticed the same repeating wallpaper print on the wall it was red and gold. At this point I was freaking out and wanted to get out of the trip. It suddenly occurred to me that my consciousness was behind the wallpaper and my body needed to touch it in order to get back to reality! The problem was every time I would rip the wallpaper away it would reset like a movie frame. After flailing and tearing the wallpaper for what seemed like an eternity a white door appeared. Without thinking I immediately opened it and BOOM. Back to reality it was the door to my room. I shut the door and back into the trip I went, flying down the hallway until yet again I saw the door. This time I opened it and left it open! Afterwards I had some crazy gravity distortions but that was about it!
It's strange that I seemed to have reoccurring themes: tools, doors, and the color red. Not quite sure what that means...

Awesome animation, man! Every time I broke through on salvia, it always started out the same way; the salvia gravity would pull me towards the ground by what felt like a billion needles beneath my skin. Sometimes I would see rivers of rainbows around objects, right before the physical universe disappeared. The needles would then connect to a rotating machine which I then became part of. I became this machine, eternally rotating. I always encountered an entity. Never more than one entity. It always took on a different form each time. Sometimes I could just hear it speaking to me, but I could usually see it, too. I love salvia. I haven't done it in years though.

That sounds intense! I've only broken through once but I would like to try it again now that I am a bit more experienced I feel like I could have a more positive and uplifting experience rather than a horrifying cling to life lol

Honestly, it's always a bit uncomfortable for me. I always feel like I've died. I lose awareness of life here on Earth until I start to come back and realize that I had just smoked salvia. Salvia is wonderful yet an extremely powerful substance. It's hard to believe that we didn't even know about its psychoactive properties until the 1980s.

Which only makes me hopeful that we will discover more soon!
