Germinate spores on agar. Far better and cleaner than using a syringe and not difficult at all. Fact is that agar is so forgiving that if you did fuck up, you can use it to clean up the culture.
Once you have a clean culture then inoculate with the agar wedges to either some grain spawn or you could even make a filtered lid and use the agar to your brf cakes (just skip the verm layer). Sooner you can get away from using syringes the farther ahead you are in the long run.

If you really didn't want to do agar (although I would recommend it, alot safer then going straight from spores) I suppose you could sterilize something like a tiny baby food jar of distilled water in your PC. Bring that into you glovebox, use a innoculating loop to drop some spores in, shake, then transfer to you PF tek jars. (that would not have a dry verm top layer, so make sure you use a good filter for contaminates/air exchange.)

that would be a difficult way to go and i'd imagine you would end up with too much water in your jar

just go to a vet store or a local feed supply they should have syringes/needles on different sizes, and remember to ask for a luer-lok tip

not so easy for cake method. but I have scraped spores, from a print to a grain substrate, directly in a sab. works...just do more jars than you need...
