"Florida"
    #19298161 - 12/19/13 02:06 PM (10 years, 1 month ago)

I have a strain that is labeled "Florida". Its not a cube, but a "Pan Cyan. I put it on agar and it looks beautiful until it gets knocked up on grain. It turns blue until it gets powdery green. I've lost at least 50 jars trying to get this strain to do something but it won't even colonize rye grain.

I got it from JD but he said that he didn't have any luck from it either.

Should I just forget about it, or keep trying?

Are you transferring a few times to new agar plates before you transfer to grains?

Got pics?

The pics I have on agar are the prettiest, most white rhizomorphic you'll ever see. Sometimes 4 or 5 transfers.

i'd only make enough x-fers to make sure it was clean, fruit then clone you may be isolating bad genetics

Panaeolus cyanescens doesn't produce rhizomorphic mycelium, if it's going powdery green it's contaminated...
