First Grow Setup Advice/Suggestions

Hey everyone,
I've been reading through the forum for a few weeks now and im about ready to start my first grow. I feel like I have a solid grasp on the conditions I need to cultivate, however I just wanted to run by my setup in hopes of getting some advice or suggestions from all of you more experienced growers. I am planning on following the PF tek using the cakes in a SGFC. The main area of concern I have is the temperature as I live in a region where it is 60 degrees max during the day, and about 40 at night. Obviously, it is warmer inside my home, however I do not have heat. From reading the forum I have concluded that a TiT is the most effective solution for maintaining the proper needed temperature, however I am planning to colonize and grow in my small walk in closet (about 4'x4') on an upper shelf near the ceiling. Subsequently, I would rather not have a tub full of water up there as I would have to take it down multiple times a day to manually fan (I also don't want to complicate things with an air pump etc). I am thus planning on using a small safe space heater with a thermostat on low (to save energy and minimize risk), but should be able to maintain a temperature of at least 75-80. Will this be sufficient? The other idea I had was a heated blanket below the tank. Are space heaters worth it, or should I just do the TiT and maybe get an air pump to regulate co2 levels so I dont have to take the tub down everyday to fan?
If I did use a TiT without an airpump, the tank would be about 5 inches or so from the ceiling. Is this small gap enough to remove the lid and fan from the side without having to remove the entire tub the ground to fan from above? I know a lot of this information is already available through the forum, but I wanted some suggestions given the exact options I have. I know I asked a lot, but basically my question is
What is the easiest maintainable setup to cultivate in a 4x4 closet on a top shelf near the ceiling in a house thats approximately 55 degrees? Thanks so much!

A reptile heating pad with a thermostat placed under the fruiting chamber should work well I would think.

I have tried using a space heater in the past, but it completely dried out my fc. The blanket idea sounds like it would work.

I've had the same thing happen using a space heater as well. A trouble light covered in aluminum foil sitting next to the FC is an old school and cheap way of bringing the temp up a few degrees in a small closet like yours without the added dry airflow that a space heater adds.

Y are u guys worried about dry air? Its inside the fc that matters and dry or not the air pushing through the perlite will create humidity

Or any kind of light for that matter. If you don't have a trouble light - a lamp with foil on the bulb sitting next to the FC and left on just about 24/7 will bring the temp in the FC up at least a few degrees.

The dry air reduces the relative humidity in the space that the fruiting chamber is in thus also reducing the RH in the fruiting chamber.

Use a oil-filled radiator for heat. They are efficient and heat evenly due to the thermal mass. Any heat source will reduce RH, but, this heater seems to be best.
Using heat pads, blankets, or other heat sources under a FC is a bad idea because it will dry out and/or over heat your FC as the heat rises. You really need to heat the space more evenly.
A heated blanket will shut off after so much time. It's a safety feature.
TiTs are not used for fruiting. You do not want to put your FC in a TiT. TiTs are used for colonizing spawn and cakes.

I use a space heater in the room and run a humidifier beside it so that it doesn't drop my room humidity too much. My monotubs don't do well if my rooms humidity gets too low

Thanks for all the thoughts and suggestions. After doing some more reading I have decided to go with the TiT for colonizing, and then I will try out a small space heater combined with a humidifier in the closet for fruiting in the SGFC. I already own a small space heater as well as an electric blanket so I can always try both. I also recently read a post by RR in which he said that fanning isn't necessary in a properly setup and elevated SGFC. Did I read this right? If I set it up properly and have to leave for the weekend here and there, will not fanning or misting for a few days be a major concern?
