Martha tek P.E. log

Ing magesh's martha tek. Have had two p.e. casings in the martha for over two weeks and so far the casings still look like pans full of coco coir and verm. No growth. Nothing. All hunidity and temp is exactly right. Im fresh out of ideas and getting concerned, any help would be appreciated.

yes rye was colonized, put in casing, covered for 5-7 days and in the martha for over two weeks with nothing happening

I think maybe you're mixing the terms substrate and casing together? A casing is a layer on top of the substrate, which gives the substrate a good micro climate for the mushrooms to grow in.
And when cronicr says it's supposed to be colonized, he not referring to the spawn you used (I think in this case we assume the used spawn was 100% colonized), but the spawn mixed with substrate in the tray. After you've mixed the spawn and substrate, you're supposed to cover it up and let it colonize again before initiating fruiting.

What you described is exactly what I did. Using the terminology in magesh's tek

Sorry man, You deserve a good answer. I think these people have just never heard of casing grains or something... Ive had the same problem on my last tray. I think that it just stalled out. What does stalled out exactly mean? I dont know.
