first grow, a few questions.

Hey guys, been lurking for awhile, had my first run going for a bit, and have some questions. doing brf cakes, steamed to sterilizethe jars, and did the innoculations from multi-spore syringes in a still air box. had a few contams but generally i think things went fine up to this point. i did two innoculations a week apart. 6 jars the first time, 12 the second. had two contams out of first batch, 4 out of second. but ive since learned of some errors in my sterile technique, which should improve future outcomes. first couple of pics are of what i thought were the contamed jars, still have them isolated, dont know if i should try fruiting them seperately? the last pic is of one of the successfully colonized jars.

now ive birthed the first round of cakes (with proper rinsing), soaked them for 24 hours, rolled them in verm after, and put them in my fruiting chamber, pearlite bottom, holes throughout. my two main questions, why are my cakes turning blue? bruising from being rough with them? lack of water or air circulation? they have just started their first flush, despite the blueing. my temp in tank is about 22.8c steady, around 74% rh. should i be looking for higher humidity levels?

also does this look like cobweb? i guess itll spread aggressively if it is? or is it just whispy mycelium?

thanks in advance guys, i definitely did a lot of research before making this post, but i thought itd be best at this point to get a few peoples opinions. cheers

The blue is bruising from being rough with the cakes. Just looks like fuzzy myc. You will know cobweb when you see it as it seems like fine spider webbing spread everywhere.

awesome guys thanks for the advice. glad to hear everything is looking fine, anyone have any secrets for birthing, soaking, and the dunk and roll? i must have been too rough during that time, so i need to figure out some gentler techniques for next time.

UPDATE
just placed my second round of cakes into my fc. stoked to see how this harvest turns out. ive also got 4 jars with some contam issues, i think im going to birth them outside, and wash them down(keep potential nasty spores away from my grow area), then break them up and mix with sterilized verm/brf in a tray, cover with some dry verm, then ceran wrap with holes for air exchange. and then throw that in my closet, figure i might as well try making some use of the jars, if anything just for some fun. i figure worst case im in the exact situation im in now, best case it works and produces some mushrooms. all 4 jars just didnt colonize a section of the bottom, and have released a lot of metabolites. not sure of what the contaminate is. the top 80% of the jars look great. any thoughts on this idea?
Here is my chamber, filled with cakes, the four previously birthed, and the 8 freshies.

ill update again after this flush, cheers!
