UK Pressure Cookers.

Getting hold of a big pressure cooker in the UK is a right pain in the arse, unless you want to spend a million pounds on delivery and wait forever for it to turn up from the states.
Anyway, good news, these have just cropped up on amazon,:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00DZK1V5U/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=kitchen
Not massive but a huge improvement on the 7l Tower from Argos. I had a look on their website and they're rated to 15 psi, only £30 quid as well.
Happy Growing

NICE MATE! I was looking at pressure cookers all day long. Didn't see these ones. What capacity do you recommend? I'm interested in starting my first bulk using WBS.

Also, on the SQ website the price is £89 for the 18L... How come on Amazon it's only £29 (free transport). It's a STEAL!
Can anyone else with some experience with PC can check it out as well please. I'll buy it as soon as I get an OK.

I figure for 45 bucks its worth a shot, plus amazon is good with returns.
Take a chance.

Ok, I bought it. I thought it was too cheap not to give it a go. If anyone is interested I'll let you know how it works. This is my first PC for the interests of fungi cultivation. So excited!
Thanks Pyropastie, I owe you one.

Basically get the biggest you can. I did have the 7l tower like every other uk grower for a while, but you can only fit one large mason jar in it. As soon as you start bulk grows you'll want something bigger like this one.

I have the 18L one I can confirm this works well and is HUGE
Only truly tested on PF jars so far but I can't see it being a problem.
I did grain in it but the culture I used was contaminated. 6 weeks later now and the one jar I didn't inoculate is still 100% clean looking.
It's 12 PSI which is why I added a little weight (about 40grams) If you have some washers lying about or something similar, you can unscrew the top of the gauge, stick em on and reattach)
But PC for 2 hours + and that should be fine (I did 3 hours for grains)
Put it on full heat. It needs to build up pressure and a good bit of steam will escape for 5 or 10 mins (which is good according to RR) and then the "plug" pops out itself and you're good to go.
As soon as the gauge starts rocking turn it down a few clicks
Fits about 8 jars
