SGFC Humidty problems

My cakes are drying out fast due to humidty problems. They started turning blue and when i mist the glistening look is gone after an hour. My digi temp(I know there shit) reads 48. I've seen it at 50-60 before help I need to increase this ASAP!!
Here's some pictures of my setup.
I live in a tiny place so no where else to put it really.

THE BLUE CAKE (the minicakes are half inoculated jars)

It says you're temp or RH is at 48?
It's probably not getting enough FAE in that little spot.

I don't trust this temp. It constantly changes I put it in a wet towl and nothing changed after 30 min. I'll move it asap then back to on top of my dresser it is. That light is a annoying bitch i must say.

If 48 is the temperature then that may be part of you problem. But I doubt that is your temp, you'd probably be freezing right now.
But If you're talking about the relative humidity, then that's way too low, but electronic hygrometers are notoriously inaccurate.
Do you have holes on the bottom of the tub?
Is your perlite nice and moist?
Is that a 6500k light?

I ran water through the peralite then strained it till no water came out the bottem, then shoved it in the terrarium.

Also theres holes on the bottem and yes its a 23w 6500k cfl!

make sure there are not tiny perlite particles blocking your bottom holes, make sure theres no fan running in the room

So what makes you think your humidity is low?
The water is supposed to evaporate off the cakes, and the bruising can be from you misting too hard.

I took a small pin and put it through the wholes in the bottom. I hope this helps.

Well I've seen the humidity gauge go up to 60 before and now its at 44. So i feel that it's lower then it should be. Also if i stick my hand in there it doesn't feel humid at all.

the only humidity you should be worried about is on the surface of your cakes where your made in china hygrometer can't measure, as long as you keep up with a proper misting schedule you will have 100% rh on the surface of your cakes at all times

How do you mist? Do you spray the cakes directly/up close? or do you stay a ways back and let the mist settle on the cakes?
do your cakes feel noticeably light?
Listen to cronicr & Notahacker420, they know what they're talking about.

I just checked and noticeably light is hard to tell, It's my first grow! But they feel fairly heavy to me

Yes I realize this! Thanks though, the problem is they don't look humid, they look dry as heck! I feel so bad for them
Thanks guys for helping me with this. It worries me as my friend invested quite a bit of money buying supplies (we decided to grow at my house) and I don't want to ruin the remaining cakes as I already screwed up with the jars and lost 6.

If they look dry mist them.
Mist them until they glisten then fan out the chamber.

That means you have good FAE....if they are dry on the surface, mist them again.

Haha true true! The bruising seems to have gone down even in the short time since I moved it from the closet (just the smallest of bits).

Ok so there's no such thing as over misting if the surface is dry? By that meaning all the misting to be done should be if they look dry even if i misted them a couple hours past?
