Print onto foil, folding the foil over top and folding edges closed seals them up even better, but you cant see the print without opening it. If you dont fold it up the print will smear over time when handled and be more exposed to contaminants.
Then put them in small plastic bag, put into book or photoalbum.
Thats how i keep my collection.
If you want your collection for viewing only, buy some plastic card covers, print directly onto them then pull the plastic off the sticky side and seal. Makes for some very cool looking spore prints for your collection but they are pretty much not useable with this method.

Don't just save spore prints, you need to save the whole dry collection. Including spore prints if you want. Dry them super dry and put them in a ziplock bag, labeled with the mushroomobserver.org observation number.

I print on the inside of a clear CD case and, then put the print and dried specimen into a ziploc. Do you approve this method Alan?

For display and educational purposes I've laminated some spore prints. It seems to work well - the colors still haven't faded from any potential additional drying. They're nice and durable for mushroom identification classes, so they can be passed around.

I do it on microscope slides, but I guess that's only important if you plan on scoping them.

If you don't care about sterility, you could print on foil and keep them in a binder with those clear things you keep Pokemon cards in.

You don't need a whole print on a slide, just a tiny part of it scrapped off is more than enough.

Printing on petri dishes could be cool but could get expensive quick.

I do them pretty thin when it's for that purpose. I guess it's kind of irrelevant to this thread.

thanks for the advice, i think going to print them on foil then keep them in a binder or cd case depending on size. sterility shouldnt matter, just want to keep a log as a hobby.
