Does anyone else feel like a child again when tripping?

Every time I trip (mainly on LSD) I sort of go back to my childhood self and remember all these moments in my childhood I thought I'd forgotten.
Is it like that for anyone else? And would psychedelia have something to do with nostalgia?

Hell yes. It's called autobiographical recall and seems to be a common enough effect.
Don't know about nostalgia, though I know I get nostalgic thinking about excellent trips.

I feel like a child in the sense that everything seems new and wonderous, I'm full of energy and physically even I'll feel younger, movement just seems easier and more fluid for instance, but I'm not sure about the memory aspect. I definitely get nestalgic feelings, and those feelings are tied to memories, but it's just a feeling, as if I am there, not an actual recolection of the event itself if that makes sense.

I think the majority of people who trip and get into tripping love that childlike aspect of tripping. It's a magical feeling

I'm glad this was brought up because I always say that to people.

I'm still a kid, so this is a bit hard to answer. But L definitely makes something magical. It allows you to see what we take for granted as its true beautiful self.

what do you mean your still a kid? I mean I'm only 18, I could arguably still be a kid.

i have very specific times in trips where i've recalled memories from my past. this other time i recalled a memory from when i was a one or two walking on the beach. that one was a real trip. i even recalled the emotions and thought processes I had when i was in school and first learning to read and interact with other kids.
i have the general feeling of feeling like a kid most of the times I trip too. it's almost the same headspace in a way.

"Appreciating" is somethings kids are great at also not knowing exactly what is happening and paying close attention.
Psychedelics add these features to ordinary experience.
As a trip unravels (and I think this applies to all psychedelics equally -dose, set, and setting aside) the child-like MOOD, helps unlock pieces of childhood memory.

If you're still living at home, in your original house and original bedroom, then tripping in your room will definitely make you feel like a little kid.
When I was 18-19 my parents went away for a 3 week vacation in Europe, I had the house to myself. It was like a gift from GOD! Best weeks ever.. I tripped several times while they were gone, one trip was alone and it was my most intense acid trip so far. My room was upstairs, and there was a hallway, a bathroom a couple closets and my sister's room. She was away at college. During my trip I got on the floor and crawled all over the upper floor, all over my room examining every inch. I crawled in the closet, I crawled down the hall and into my sister's room, I got under her bed. I went in her closet. I was reliving things I did as a toddler. With or without my sister, that upper floor was my play area and I owned every inch of it. I was that toddler again and I re-felt all of the feelings.
It was the most amazing experience. The same place, same sounds, smells, same carpet, everything the same as when I was like 3. All that external stimuli forced my memories and realizations to resurface, and it was a blissful experience.

Disguised as adult ;-)
who am I inside? who am I outside? looking back, have I changed during my life? does my outside look like my inside?
what is important to me now? what was important to me earlier in life?
