9am-9pm certainly sounds like it'll be taking away father time for him and his kids. I used to work in a corporate office working late hours and I wasn't able to make it home until after my kid was already asleep 5 days out of the week. I really wish I had been able to spend more time with her but now I'm self employed so that's no longer an issue. Is there absolutely no way they can be more flexible with those work hours? Perhaps if you worked there for a short while they might be able to budge a little?

but it would, thats my biggest issue. right now i have shared custody with my sons bitch mother. she lives 100 miles away and we do 1 week with her and one week with me. my daughter lives with me and im with her mother (but shit that might not last long). so if i take this job, other then when i would see him the first hour of the morning, i would see my boy every 2 weeks on sunday. thats it.

You're young. A little extra sweat won't hurt ya' and the money is great. Buy your ex and kid more nice things, keep up child support, then modify those weekend visits so maybe you can do more with the kid when you are available.

Absolem, this seems like a really challenging decision to make and I really hope you end up choosing the option that will make you happy. Regret is a bitch...
Working 12 hour shifts 6 times a week is no laughing matter. In fact, I think that's REALLY dangerous for your health and mental well-being. I'd recommend strongly against it, it's just too much to put up with physically.
But not only will it make you frustrated and potentially cause you to lose your sanity, you would also be completely isolated from your children's lives. You would never have the time or energy to play with them, go to their soccer games, or even see them for that matter. I understand that you would have a lot more money to spoil them with and they'd be ecstatic about it but you would regret it in the long run. Simply keeping your kids happy with materialism will completely weaken the special father-child bond and they'll probably end up hating you when they're teens.
You would also completely miss out on fatherhood. I have no desire to be a dad but from what I hear, playing sports with your kid, watching him/her learn to ride a bike, and so forth are incredibly amazing feelings. But who knows, maybe it's cognitive dissonance!
tl;dr
DON'T COME HOME TO YOUR KIDS LIKE THIS:

Stay far from timid, only make moves when your heart's in it.

Do it for half a year and get fired for making a bunch of mistakes soon after, collect unemployment for 6 months (you will get a lot from UI.)

I agree, if you do, don't do it for very long. The turnover rate is probably very high in that company anyway.

Problem is that you mentioned a huge range in pay.
With 52 weeks a year, you're making either 52k or 104k.
Big difference.

im thinking this. and im not doind "to but my kids more stuff". i live in a shitty little apartment attatched to the basement of my parents house. i have a car thats about to blow the fuck up. i want a nice house for them to grow up in and decent transportation for us. and a lil saved up college money would be nice.

I'd work till I could buy something nice. Like a plot of land or a car. Then if you're spent start looking for a new line of work.
I have done 60hour weeks before and they suck. You will really see free time slip away. And your kids take that hit.

After your first 72 hour week, you might not think its quite as much.
On the other hand, you can probably stick out 104k for a while.

Take away taxes from it, and it's either going to be around 30k or 75k.
