What do you think this guy might have seen?
    #19292000 - 12/18/13 06:34 AM (10 years, 1 month ago)

Over the past day or so I've been watching some of this guy's videos, and I just watched this one of which someone asked him about any paranormal experiences he's had. Having watched quite a few of his videos, he seems rational minded, doesn't strike me as the kind of guy to bullshit about this kind of thing, so I'm going to go ahead and give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he's not lying.

Now, this video, the first story in particular is bugging the shit out of me, trying to figure out what he might have seen.

I'm wondering, hoping that someone here might be able to shed some light on some possible logical explanations of what he talks about in the first five minutes.

Anyone?

The guy clearly said no animals he knew of could have moved up the ravine.  Also said it looked like venom from spiderman.  How are we supposed to suggest something logical from that?

maybe some mad scientists combined spider and human genes

with the space ship, maybe it's like Stargate SG-1 and the military actually does have secret divisions where they play with secret technologies (who would have thought)

and quite possibly aliens

I obviously didn't say he was crazy. I didn't watch the video and I don't care to either.. I was just stating that there are plenty of people who are crazy and don't appear to be in any obvious shape or form. Also sometimes people can "see" something and believe in it so fully they think they are and to the plain eye seem to be because they believe it so much. That doesn't necessarily make it real.

This guy was talking about when he was in high school, out in the middle of nowhere in the desert drinking with a bunch of his friends and claims they all saw it, not just him.

And unless they were all smoking meth, I don't think it was shadow people.

Yeah, I'm not even talking about this guy.. I'm talking about crazy people in general. Just saying plenty of loopy people don't show it in obvious ways, sometimes it is a lot more subtle and sometimes under the surface as well.

I was looking for scientific, rational and logical possibilities. Not shit based out of la-la land or drug induced delusions.

And I don't know, that's why I asked.

Consider that maybe it did happen and this guy and his friends weren't all having the same hallucination or that this guy wasn't bullshitting, do you have any thoughts on what it might have been, based in reality as we know it?

Sorry if I seem like I'm being short, it's just that this video is really pissing me off. I consider myself to be rational minded and I can't think of any explanation for what it might have been that this guy is talking about.

If I had doubts about the guy himself, it wouldn't matter so much but I'd like to think that I'm a good judge of character and he seriously doesn't strike me as the type to make this kind of shit up.

LordSenate was right, but maybe this guy does fall into that category of sneaky fucking loons.

I'm not invested in him being of good character, I sincerely think he is.

I'm invested in the story having a reasonable explanation, only I can't think of it and it's annoying the fuck out of me.

1. He's lying
2. He's crazy
3. He's telling the truth and you believe him.

The internet is full of this type of shit, why make a thread about it.  He's making videos on youtube about himself talking so he's probably an attention whore to begin with.  I generally don't believe outlandish shit from those types of people.

I make a thread about it because I judge his character as a logical, rational minded person who isn't crazy and probably isn't lying and this story annoys the shit out of me.

I don't know why.

The vast majority of people I would think were one of those two, at least.

I've watched a lot of his videos and this particular guy feels to me to be genuine and just telling a story as he witnessed it, in this video.

This guy is so weird. Think about it, the whole time while recording this, he would have been watching him self on the screen. He talks to emotionally to the screen/him self, it's strange, people only talk like this to other people.
I think he's fake.

such a big place that is vastly isolated so much weird shit happens there if you visit
it often. My first experience seeing A UFO was just north of bairnsdale in the forest.

I have had crazier and more outlandish experiences than what that guy describes.
Not to say I believe the stories immediate deduction; but I think it's quite possible the guy and his friends genuinely shared the experience that he claims.

There are lots of strange things among us that we are unaware of.
A sharpened awareness helps; but it needs that stroke of luck.

I honestly think this guys makes up a lot of his shit or he just over exaggerates whatever actually happened.  That acid video he made saying some stranger gave him a couple of drops and turned out to be thirty hits. I don't know I wanted to believe it but it just sounded far fetched. If it was compared to 30 hits like he said he would remember very little about it!

Also I have no respect for people claiming they are satanist. They are far worse than religious people. Very scary man.

I knew I recognized this guy from somewhere!
I also thought the dose in his story must have been greatly over exaggerated (but considering the way he was dosed, he pretty much had to pull a number out of his ass) in comparison to his experience; but it also seemed as though there could be some basis of truth in the story.
Either way, there's no way to tell.

I just feel sorry for those who never experience anything beyond the most apparent reality presented by our social paradigm.
I'd be a cranky skeptic too.

Think the pumas down there could actually just be Tasmanian Tigers that were thought to be extinct?

Or did they actually look like an American Cougar?

I'm from Australia too, and what this guy is talking about doesn't near match the description of a yowie.

Also, what you saw was probably a large hairy aboriginal.

There are different types of Satanism and he's a non-theistic Satanist, which means he doesn't believe in the devil, or evil, or any of that crap.

The notion that Satanism is about creepy rituals and praying to the devil and seeking to hurt others are misconceptions that took off during the Satanic panic in the 80's. While there are some real weirdos out there, they're not what Satanism is really about at all.

To be a Satanist is just to align yourself with a certain philosophy, and the majority of them are atheists to boot.

They use the name Satanism as kind of a middle finger to organised religion and for the symbolic value that represents their passion for life, living life to the fullest and having a good time without denying themselves of their human desires.

It's also not something you convert to or claim to be, it's something you either are or you're not. But that doesn't stop the psychos and the poseurs from associating themselves with it.

It's really just atheism with a twist of philosophy thrown in.

So don't jump the gun.

Satanism is basically like material gluttony for the soul.
its fun and fanciful but only provides fleeting sensations of satisfaction that are later replaced by the infinite thirst.
but at least they're honest about it, that's better than most of our society

Right. It's very scary to use a characters name from an organized religion that has a powerful meaning for evil to indicate that we our free thinkers and chose not to believe in God. If I was jumping the gun I would say that seems logical.

Satanism as an organisation and mainstream religion would be illogical and self contradictory to the philosophy.

And there is an organisation, the most established organisation that does go against that and the individualism, the free thinker, and it is a load of shit. They sold out.

Lastly, I'll say this once more, the affiliation with "powerful meaning for evil" as you put it, is a complete misconception. If anything, it's a middle finger to organised religions. If you want to argue, do some research.

Sorry for getting my back up so, but God damn.

No need to apologize. I'm sure their are plenty of articles claiming that it is supposed to rebel against modern religion than it just representing evil. I still don't get it, though. I'll find different more loving ways to point out the flaws in a broken religious belief.

I still can't get over the fact that OP had this die hard boner for this youtube celeb being an honest person. Especially considering someone else pointed out that in another video he claims to have taken 30 hits of acid from a stranger.

Like OP saw a bunch of his videos and thought the guy was super legit. Then he discovers the paranormal video and he comes to the pub to look for a "scientific explanation" of what the guy actually saw, when what the guy describes couldn't be anything known to humans.

:ilold:

Really tho it was fairies and leprechauns in a giant black trash bag

Well fuck me.

What did I expect?

Your guess was as good as mine.

And asking the pub was a step up from asking the conspiracy nuts in C&C.

And I do think he comes across as genuine, while he might exaggerate a good story like just about anyone else would, I have no reason to believe he's completely full of shit.

But you never know, do you?

He could be lying, he could be a sneaky fucking loon.
