Im a vet who got blown up one to many times and have very minor lesions in the brain caused by the blast and shockwave. And thats actually why Im beginning to get into the shroom spiele at all. But after hearing how much they affect you all Im really looking forward to my first flush! Also I hear their good for cluster head aches. heres hoping those stories hold water!
mushrooms were as great medicine for my soul as LSD was
only I had to respect set, setting, dose more with them, they can give bad trips easier
but good trips change view on life afterwards, more positive, long lasting better overview on problems, better overview of thought etc.
it hasnt faded for me, because I integrated everything I learned
now I take walks in nature, to get the same appreciation as in the trips and have houseplants, new miracle every day, no matter which type of houseplant :-) and pets
started eating healthier too
nature, psytrance, mushrooms , and preferably eat them as mushroom chocolates (then good trip everytime, eating them normally gives nausea)
I always took a walk in nature on the comedown part of any mushroom or LSD trip, or during it if I could still walk best part of the trip.... cant trip without it

Yeah I heard something like that. but is there such a thing as to much of a good thing? And shit If Im going to grow the stuff than I might as well "enjoy" it right?
And the lesions arnt painful your brain doesnt have any nerves thank god. My only concern would be If having them would alter the way the trip works on the brain. But hey nothing ventured nothing gained right!

I really believe that psychedelics help mental disorders. I don't believe they bring them out, make current ones worse, or make u psychotic for the time ur high... that's complete BS propaganda. B4 the 70s n 60s people used to think a trip mimicked psychosis and people, even doctors, still believe that to this day. One of my ex docs was sure that LSD mimicked bi polar disorder

It is definitely not propaganda. I have seen people go psychotic while on psychedelics. I also know people that had long term problems from one trip.
While I love psychedelics and I have had much benefit from them, I would not pretend for a second that there are not any negative consequences whatsoever. It is not for everyone

Psychedelics can definitely cause psychosis. They put me into a terrifying world that mimicked schizophrenia.
I'm not putting complete blame on the psychedelics, but they definitely played a major part in it for me.

I'm going to have to call bullshit on this. Psychedelics can have positive effects for depressed people and some other mental conditions. However, you SHOULD NOT take shrooms if your family has a predisposition to schizophrenia. I've taken psychedelics and have experienced a semi psychotic episode before. It is possible. Psychedelics are not without risks!

^^Well idk...IME.. I've never got anything close to psychosis on any psychedelics and I've had many ++++ & +++++ trips. I get mental clarity. Stimulants GENUINELY Mimic psychosis, psychedelics don't. Yea they can cause anxiety. I've had my mind erased but it wasn't anything close to psychosis. Just cuz ur hearing things in ur head doesnt mean it's similar to being schizo.
Also I'm very interested in mental disorders as I study pharmacology, neuroscience, and psychology. I would know if I was having psychotic symptoms. Psychedelics can make u crazy... imo not psychotic, two diff things.

I can't say but my brother has suicide class clusters and he uses 2g dried any time it's deadly painful for him.
He only doses during the worst of it, and never for fun in-between. They work so well for him, he is even afraid to try lemon tek or different color/shaped mushrooms, or recreational use.
Only dried matured gold caps of the normal generic cubensis variety.
He has done them over 40 times medicinally.
EDIT: as for myself they help very well monthly/bi-weekly for my ADHD

Shrooms made me much more creative. My drawings express that. Unfortunately I haven't tripped in a few months and I can feel myself drifting back to my former, unaltered consciousness. God I hope I can trip again soon.

Tell that to the guy who is in prison for taking mushrooms, thinking his friend was the devil, beating the shit out of him, cutting his face off, then cutting his heart out and throwing it in the fire
Or tell that to my friends neighbor who freaked out on mushrooms and jumped out the window, breaking his back and never able to walk again.
Or tell it to the guy who cut his nuts of on LSD and flushed them down the toilet.
A college text book will never substitute real life experience.

I do not know what ++++ & +++++ means, but I started tripping almost 20 years ago and psychedelics can definitely bring out psychosis whether temporary or long lasting.

I tripped after fairly significant head trauma with concussions, and an untreated partially shattered hand (I don't like doctors so refused treatment). Hand hurt a tons as it was in a few pieces, felt pain free when I was tripping on a solid dose though. Hangovers or being sick and tripping are bad, but it has some serious pain killing effects for injuries ime.
Good post OP, glad they've helped you out, I was fairly introverted for a long time, not sure if tripping or age helped. Either way I don't care much what others think of me and am fairly out going now. Shrooms did let me work on various issues when I was picking myself apart on some trips. Certainly can be a game a changer in a positive way

That is the mystery of psychedelics. It does different things to different people. I have had toothaches when I was tripping that hurt 100x worse and have had other trips where I could barely feel my body

I actually am schizophrenic, have experienced psychosis, & I am currently getting my degree in psychology and I must say.... some of you don't know what the hell you are talking about.

No I was talking about some of these peoples comments about schizophrenics and others comments on the after-effects of psychedelics... they need to do better research because they don't make any sense.

Good post, OP, and best of luck.
For those claiming different facts about psychedelics, calm down. Too little research has been done on psychedelics to say anything concrete, you're all speaking out of experience and unprofessionally.
The truth is, for healthy individuals, psychedelics can make some people want to live in their own minds. These people are deemed crazy by society, but are they? How can one unsee what cannot be unseen?
