PE Substrate Post-Harvest (Question)

I recently harvested 2 tubs of PE that came to a half pound of dry fruits. There were lots of giant, first flush, mutant blobs. Pulling these from the substrate was kind of difficult and caused some damage. Colonies of tiny blob knots still remain and can't be removed without taking a chunk out.
I'm trying to set up for a good second flush but, am unsure of the substrate. The sub is WBS spawned to HPoo, hay, and verm. Bubble wrap is the casing and fruiting conditions are fine, I assume, due to the amount of fruits harvested.
Do I patch potholes? Do I try to remove the blob knots? Or just leave as is, mist, and apply the bubble the wrap?
Any advice from experienced cultivators would be appreciated.

There are thin holes made with a hot razor blade and covered with micropore tape. The liner separated when harvesting. The amount of space between the sub and top of the bin seems too great to maintain high humidity. Hence the the bubble wrap.

That makes no sense.....the amount of space in the tub has nothing to do with the humidity levels....humidity is all dependant upon moisture evaporating off the substrate.....bubble wrap is not going to help anything.....it may prevent evaporation tho....which in theory would actually hinder your humidity levels.
You need lots of moisture evaporating from lots of FAE......that is all.

So it wouldn't matter if there was three inches of space above the sub or three feet? It's a big ass tub. The amount of moisture evaporating from the sub would create higher humidity in a small space opposed to a big space. How humid is it under the bubble wrap? How humid would a whole room get if I sat the block of sub in the middle?
I'll remove the bw and continue to fan. A half pound was harvested from the first flush of these tubs. I'm mostly curious about the condition of the substrate and mutant aborts remaining.

Not if there was adequate FAE and evaporation.......

If the substrate was 4" thick spread across the entire floor, the humidity would be rather high with the right amount of FAE and evaporation.....

Looks like a PE substrate that was just harvested from....
Some of the bruising will go away in time...just keep it moist.
You want constant evaporation of water off the substrate...that is all.....you will be fine.....it looks rather dry tho.

Don't bother patching, the myc will grow back. Leave the small blobs, they will shrivel up and not cause a problem.
