They're talking about what's in the picture...not what the hopi had access to.
The Egyptians drew flying craft...that doesn't mean they had flying craft.

A little bit harder to imagine a culture having a conceptualization of cigarettes or matches without having direct access to them, than it is for that of a flying craft.

no, and that's the exact reason why.
the leap between conceptualizing cigarettes and creating them is much smaller than conceptualizing flying crafts and successfully creating them.

Maybe the Egyptians did built flying/gliding crafts. They would have been made of extremely light materials like balsa wood and paper or animal hide, which would decompose very rapidly in that environment. I don't think it would be possible to prove that the Egyptians had access to flight, because we would need the "body" of a flying craft. Again, it would probably decompose so quickly, how would we know?
