I feel like thy can give you a kind of a start up on how you change your personality for the better. Anyone think of using mushies as a catalyst easily put.

Im not sure what you mean by using mushrooms as a literal "catalyst", But i do agree that they seem to carry personality changing effects. The first time taking mushrooms especially seems to have this effect.
Check out this article it is relevant to the topic http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/news/media/releases/single_dose_of_hallucinogen_may_create_lasting_personality_change

I think what he's saying is that mushrooms act as a catalyst for change.
I've had the exact same thoughts on LSD before.

By far the biggest catalyst that mushrooms have been for me has been from the "bad" trips I've had. They always teach me so much about my insecurities and the things that scare me. They put me so much in touch with my fear that I've stared fear in the eye and stared it down.

It's really difficult to put that kind of fear into words. It's not a rational fear. It's just a delerious fear in which pops up every insecurity, doubt and fear.

All change comes from within But change requires knowledge and will
Mushrooms can give you perspective and an oppurtunity to learn
But you get out of them, what you put into them
Good luck on your journey
Peace

it also talks a bit about how taking mushrooms like once a week or something frequent like that is a quick way to lose all actual control and emotional awareness. theres a difference in moods and emotions. if you have read Emotional Awareness by the Dalai Llama, then i highly suggest it. to me that book made me become more aware of myself and of others with the body language they put off. you can read a persons thoughts thru there body language. it says that by taking them every week or once a week (very frequently) can lead to more unresolved bad trips. but i honestly dont think they exist. never had a bad trip. but the stuff that does bring me the closest feeling of a bad one is those nasty dirty research chems. ewwww just no good. such an overwhelming body load followed with nausua and the feeling that you cant get comfortable or your crawling out of your skin. its just crazy. i absolutely hate that stuff but when it comes to L or mush or the deam then its a go. but anything else, i slam on breaks. and around my way you cant trust the shit they call LSD.

What is 'it?' That article doesn't say anything about frequent tripping or possible side effects. Personal experience tells me that tripping once a week, once a day, or once a year has no more effects than just tripping once. A single trip can have negative effects lasting for awhile if it's traumatic, but all tripping more often does is make it more possible akin to driving more makes it. More likely you'll get in an accident. I've tripped ~30+ times in a year at least, and I've also tripped nearly every day for two strait weeks and had no negative long term effects. With psychedelics any long term effects tend to happen suddenly after a single trip and not slowly build up over time. If you have psychological issues that have been building and you are using psyches I'm inclined to believe that the psyches had nothing to do with it because if you're sober, have issues, and continue to dose then something *is* wrong with you and it's not as if psychedelics are addicting or making you take them.
